Desperate Housewives Africa S1/14

Funke's children were up to mischief!They stole Mrs Okorie (I remember her from Tinsel as Mrs Haruna)their mother's arch enemy and neighbour flower pot and gave it to their mum as her valentine gift.Mrs Okorie came to pick it up and insulted Funke of not training her children properly and even later entered Funke's house another time to search for another missing item.At the end of it all Shina found out the children had been taking things from their friends on the lane.Funke had to take them to apologise the second time to Mrs Okorie who lectured them to stop stealing and this made her reminisce about her own son who died at the age of 12.
Mrs Benson's sister Agnes saw Rhume's picture and told Deji his wife is Lilian Bale but he insisted his wife's name was Rhume.Kiki couldn't stand Inya's singing who didn't even stop and had the effrontery to challenge her madam.
Ese tried to find about Kay's conversation with father Ajayi but he did not tell her.She however loved the fact that they are back as a family and looking forward to throwing dinner parties.
While Larry was house searching on his assignment he was shut by the security guard but he didn't wait to be arrested,got home and had someone treat him.His injury later ruined his date with Tare who told him she didn't want to have a child after Aisha.Larry was taken to the hospital and the police called in because of his kind of wound.The nurse found Larry's story of shooting himself weird.
Ese finally agreed to make love in the unconventional way with Kay and you should have seen her face when she was watching the video hahahahahahahahah.
Kiki did her rat poison advert which she didn't like .she also lost the  acting role she was vying for.She decided to go the salon for a makeover that she couldn't pay as her credit card was invalid.She had to volunteer to take up a job as a beautician there.
The couples on Hibiscus Lane all celebrated valentine  except for Larry and Tare that didn't end well.
Funke gave Tare Esther Benson's bracelet that her children picked from Larry's car!
My highlight was when Funke brought out belt, pankere(cane,wooden stick (aka Amala stick like my children call it)immediately they saw it they chorused amala stick! and it's counterpart cane  helping African mum since forever heheheheheeh

Taste of Love S1/96

Eve is not happy ,she takes one of the pictures in the sitting room and look at it.Alex find Hadiza and they had an heart to heart talk and told her all will be well.He wonders how the police didn't find her yet they searched the whole plantation,she reminds him of their hide and seek games as children.They later went to the police station to giver her statement.
Kelechi tells them about Tochukwu's operation, and when he was further probed,he went ahead to tell them of the worst that could happen.Nne brings up her friend who had a similar sitution and how she survived but Nnnena noted she died days later after she was discharged.They all hope Tochukwu survives.
Kelchi blames himself for his brother's accident while Nne offers him alcohol to calm him.(in that her stainless mug one will think it;s water or drink she carries around)
Feyisayo calls Tochukwu ranting and didn't know it was her father in law who told her he couldn't be reached but when she asked more question Jonathan went mute.
NEXT:Police trying to blame Hadiza going by her earlier statement,Nnnena wont forgive Hadiza if anything happens to her son,Eve goes to see Ebitimi on the accident matter.Ibrahim is sure a silly man,why would he want to make Adesuwa managing director (Na so her bedmatics scatter his brain)

Hotel MajesticS1/ 149

Martins arrive at the hotel and what he did initially was to tease and taunt Ejiro but later told him he was joking.He told Jeme he couldn't sleep in a room with Ejiro and because of him being needed they agree.
Timi gave a beautiful rendition of happy birthday song to Aunt Ronke and gave her a card while Maja gave her a card and wore a sad face and didn't even give her a hug.She asked him to be good on her birthday.
At the staff meeting ,Jeme discussed Honourable's party which was the major event of the day at the Hotel,Patti and Jeffiong and Patti noted they will be short of a staff as Alero will be a guest at the party in her capacity as celebrant ,she didn't take that funny but Jeffiong insists her connections to the event.Timi notes Martin's presence and Jeme explains why he is there but Timi in his usual style felt his sister's actions not justified but she was able to shut his mouth when he told him to go and check if Patti needs something.
 Timi warns Maja to stay off Alero/Ivie points out to him honourable's investment on Ivie's family ,Maja tells his brother he needs no advice from him but Timi warns him that he was discreet for twenty years.
Ivie's family members arrived dressed in anko (uniform owambe style)She didn't like the idea of her family still accepting favours and gifts from Honourable.
At Aunt Ronke's birthday celebration Isioma suggests they crash Honourable's party which they did where Maja reacted when he saw Honourable feed Ivie.Timi had to do a damage control.Isioma established links with Honourable  an act which didnt go down well with Ronke ,Maja and Jeme.Ronke tells Isioma what danger she can bring to Maja with what the stunt she pulled.
Hope continues her pro bono work for RRC and hopes they will recognise her efforts soon.Jeffiong seems to make sense of her actions.
Ejiro notice Martin reading from a piece of paper but he quicly hid it in his cap.
Winston met Hope on different occasions but she gave him no attention yet he was frolicking around her.She tells him to pass a message to his father who had earlier not granted her attention .
Ivie calls Maja on her way to change to her uniform but got his voice mail later to run into him and Isioma kissing passionately.
NEXT:Ronke commends Isioma and they plan to widen the crack between Maja and Alero.

Emerald 2/95

Mofe makes amends with Waziri which made him very happy.She tells him of an arrest they have to make later in the day and leave the office.
Lola forbids Pappy Sam from telling anyone not even Dapo of their visit to Ada,shortly Dapo comes in and Lola asks for a hug and tells her son to keep an eye on the company.
Ada advise Austin to quit his kind of lifestyle .He tells his sister he wants to but a 'strong ' man bot allowing him to ,Yomi comes in to visit Ada.
Lola spilled a lot today after Victor refused to make love to her.This drew the attention of Dapo who is now eager to know why his mother acts and talks the way she does.Daphne also came in and Victor tried using that excuse to bury the story but Dapo tells her not to intervene.Lola later becomes uncomfortable and she was put to bed.
 Tina is now feeling like boss that she even threatened Bash especially as she has Tega on her side.Tega didn't allow Mofe and Waziri to arrest Tina.He told them She works for him(Abi na bed work hahahahahahah).He later asks her what she stole ,she went quiet.
NEXT:Dapo tells Uncle Victor he wants to know what is happening and even told him what his mum had said earlier(omo ode Dapo *fool*) anyways he's in the dark maybe this will open his eyes.

Taste of Love S1/95

The police and everyone still searching for Hadiza ,but Alex seems to have a clue where she might be while Getty goes to wait in her own house in case she shows up there.Ibrahim worried about his daughter .Eve is also worried about her sister,Adesuwa seems to be pessimistic about the whole situation.Ibrahim had to live when  leaves the office when he had an Ulcer attack.
Kelechi thought he saw Hadiza but it was someone else.
Duncan dropped a hint on Kelechi /Hadiza affair when the police came looking for her in her office.
Nne is not okay with the police procedure at the accident scene but her son tells her it's nothing.
Today i noticed Kelechi had a different shirt on from the one he wore to the hospital which was already blood stained(when did exchange take place especially as he had not gone home and others still had their same clothes on..........)
NEXT:Alex found Hadiza.

Maja informs Ivie/Alero of his postponement on calling it quits with Isioma at the bakery.Jeffiong also resigned from working at the bakery.Alero had to go and inform Jeme she cannot cope alone ,Jeme calls Mavellous line which was out of reach but she dropped a message.
The Emenis are at the table Maja joined late and Isioma asked where Maja had been especially as Jeme had to dust his body he told her he didn't owe her much explanation.The Emeni children went down memory lane talking about their childhood.
Timi goofs about Alero/Ivie being engaged to Honourable Edafe which Isioma  was going to use as a weapon to seperate Maja and Ivie , she refused to calm down despite Timi's warning until Aunt Ronke intervened.
Jeme calls Martin to help cater for Honourable's party for his in law a ploy to also find out if he has the recipe book of Ejiro's father.Martin pretended like he was busy when he was called but deep down he was happy with the offer.
Isioma later apologises to Timi via text message ,she goes to find Maja at the office for their scheduled meeting to go shopping for his mum's birthday but he wasn't there.She had a chat with Jeme on allegiance .
NEXT:Maja couldn't stand Honourable feeding Ivie  at the party for Ivie's father and reacted!Isioma wants to partner  with Honourable to take Maja to Lagos.

Maja and Ivie/Alero continue their kiss despite the disagreement about their relationship.Isioma is heartbroken that she bumped into Timi who had to take her to the house.She is surprised that that aunt Ronke is aware who still tried to give Isioma confidence to fight for her son.Maja comes in and takes his leave almost immediately.
Jeme also concerned about Maja's relationship but tells him his happiness is what she wants as she had something good to say about his two ladies.(Isioma and Ivie)
Chief Idobo still on about his 'omembe' soup and needs the service of a nanny.Hope,Patricia give excuse  but Ese was willing but Jeme declined and decided to  take up the job herself.
Hope tells Ejiro he has lost his Mojo on cooking since  he  has been trying to get the black soup recipe and try finding any clue on the book at the Emenis house.Jeme tried finding it but she couldn't rather while flipping through a cook book she discovered a cake they can tell Ejiro to bake for their mum's birthday as she and Maja went down memory lane about a type of cake they tasted on one of their outings as children.Maja further suggested Martin be asked about the black soup recipe from Papa Ejiro's apprentice Martin.
Ronke has apologised to her son and tells him to leave any action he wants to do as per Isioma till after her birthday.She had earlier given Isioma tips on how to get Maja back by bringing Ivie/Alero closer and take Maja down memory lane of how they met bla bla bla.
Patti made it known to Timi she had moved on.Chief Idobo introduces the children Jeme will be babysitting to her,he whistled to call the children(old baba youngi somebori)
Jeffiong is seen talking to Epa John and Oga Deji why they are not buying his idea as a baker,Patti joins the circle and asks for lighter for a cigarette telling no one to ask her for a well being then Ese brings her comic self telling them of the flooded hotel room.
NEXT:Maja tells Ivie/Alero breaking up with Isioma has to be postponed till after his mum's birthday

Austin and Tina continue their fight at home.Yomi and Dapo discuss Ada with the former telling latter to stay clear of Ada.`Daphne later comes to the office and also mention  Ada as she feels threatened .Yomi wonders why the engaged couple talking about Ada.
Lola Duke pays Ada a visit to tell her to leave her son Dapo and even offers her money.Ada feels insulted with offer and words spoken by Mrs Duke and sends her away.
Tega takes Tina shopping and still convincing her to quit prostitution.
NEXT:Police come to the club looking or Tina.

The Pepples at the hospital waiting for news on Tochukwu.Jonathan feels weak and Kelechi orders tht his father go home and rest.Nne asks for feedback when they arrive but they have no news to give her.
Doctor tells Kelechi alcohol in Kelechi's system slowing treatment.Nnnena blames the Musa Philips for all the trouble in their family in the past few months and suggest Kelchi and  Hadiza end their relationship.
Pa AJ forcing Ibrahim to eat and worry less about the company and instead focus on his health.while they were talking police arrive to question  Hadiza about the accident ,her father and granpa surprised. The police also interrogates Kelechi about the accident
NEXT:Ibrahim goes to the company with the police to search for Hadiza but she wasnt there.Getty and Alex also wondering where she might b but seems they have a clue.

Yomi is delighted with his rendezvous with Ada and even tried to kiss her which she declined and later apologised .
Dapo comes to challenge Ada for going out with Yomi and tries to make amends but Ada slaps him and throws him out.Tina goes to meet Yomi who blames her for the fight she caused alongside Austin her brother insults her and tells her a relationship with him can never happen ,Tega comes around and he tells her to go meet her client.
Dapo is not pleased he is losing Ada and to Yomi who told him not to reveal to Ada they are cousins,a plan occurs to him and he tells Pappy Sam h e will help him out with it.
Daphne tells Lola of Dapo's attitude toward her and mentions Ada as the cause.Lola intends doing something to help.Mama Boyo also advise Tega to let his daughter Mofe  be.
Dapo goes to the office and almost caught his uncle Victor frolicking with his secretary.He asks to see Yomi who was yet to arrive the office but he comes in before Dapo left the reception area.They give each other the 'look'.
NEXT:Lola Duke is at the Eze's house and meets Austin,seem she can remember him from the kidnap.

Taste of Love 1/93

Getty had to excuse Tochukwu and Hadiza when they had to discuss.Hadiza felt the spa treatment was all a set up to get her out of the way and Kelechi didn't like the insinuations because he was innocent.
Ebitimi praises Ibrahim for his actions at the company and mentioned that is son Duncan should not be spared.The latter wondered how the former knew his son was involved in the harvesting,Adesuwa quickly saved his goof by telling Ibrahim she informed him.
Jonathan returns home and his wife Nnnena has been worried about him.Tochukwu is preparing to go to Paris.Nne tells them of how Feyisayo abandoned CJ and it's only a matter of time before the nanny starts beating him.
Eve is back at the office and makes known to Adesuwa she is in support of the Pepple's actions.
Hadiza and Kelechi  get to the Pepples house to ask if the spa was a set up which Jonathan replied in the affirmative. and his reason being he did it to save the company .A furious Hadiza is not pleased and storms out of the house.Tochukwu isn't pleased with Hadiza's attitude towards their father and tells his brother Kelechi,He later goes out and a loud noise ,it's an accident!Hadiza hit Tochukwu with the car.Kelechi runs out and quickly tries to care for his brother as he ordered a confused Hadiza to get the first aid box and later call his father.
The rest of the Pepple family come out and began wailing ,panicking at the sight of Tochukwu's state and take him to the hospital.
Adesuwa tries stopping Jerry who made it known to her they are working on the orders of Mr Pepple who is majority shareholder at the company and he is only following orders.
NEXT:The Pepples at the hospital with Jonathan  feeling tired .

Patti is back at the hotel and almost everyone is happy to see her.Deji,Jeffiong and Ese later go to pay her a visit in her room with Jeffiong blabbing but Ejiro was able to curtail his running mouth.Jeme was also happy to see Patti and said soothing words to her.
Ivie absent minded while baking as she didn't like what Maja said to her about finding it difficult to break up with Isioma.Jeffiong's entrance saved some of the loaves of bread from burning and he tells Alero/Ivie of his intention to be a baker,she offers to help but the promotion lies with Jeme and Ejiro.
Isioma tried to seduce Maja severally but it hit a brick wall .Aunty Ronke tried talking Maja to go back to the hotel but he wouldn't listen to her.
Deji tells Jeffiong to do his duties but Jeffo is more concerned about his pitch on the bakery.
Isioma is terrified when she sees Mrs Benson.Alero comes to her rescue and informs her of who Mrs Benson is .Isioma invites Aleo/Ivie for  a drink at the bar where she pours her heart out on Maja while Alero watches her.
Timi was happy to see Isioma and promises to catch up with her later.
Jeme thinks Jeffiong's idea about the bakery is good but Ejiro seems not to be in support.
Patti informs Honourable she is back at the Hotel who informs her to be his ears and eyes in the hotel.
Next morning Maja waits for Ivie at their rendezvous who knew all  Maja had to say because she was with Isioma.She tells him to go back to her but Maja isn't having any of that and starts to kiss her,unknown to them Isioma saw them as she asked for directions from oga Deji where to find Maja .She is heart broken and breaks down in tears after the scenario she saw.
NEXT:Alero and Maja continue their kiss and stop acts.Isioma tells aunt Ronke what she saw who is not surprised.

Movie Review :Ikogosi

A married couple  Emilia (Lisa Omorodion) and James (Brutus Richard)invites their friends and family on a trip to celebrate their wedding anniversary at Ikogosi.The trip which was meant to be a fun one and a time to bond turned ugly when Beverely (Didi Ekanem) who shared her good news with her other friends who did the opposite by sharing bad news Emilia was filing for a divorce to ,Cynthia is calling it quits with Collins(Toka Mc Baror) .At the other side the guys also playing a truth game which turned out Ugly when  Mike(Leo Orji) got angry with Collin's revelation and the ladies came over to add more fuel to the fire.it was further revealed they had slept with each other's spouse at one point in time.

Emem,Emilia's sister found love in the arms of George the tourist(Ik Ogbonna) at the end of it all though her sister was not in support initially.
While watching the movie Tyler Perry's why did i get married  will come to your mind but the imitation wasn't total.
The location,setting was a good one as it exposes the beautiful Ikogosi waterfall to the world  as  a tourist attraction.The acting was also okay .I love the natural scenery and a bit of history that was revealed in the movie.
The revelations made the feuding couples have a rethink and make amends with each other
My rating as per the movie,it's an okay one!

Ada assures Daphne she has nothing to do with Dapo so she shouldn't worry about anything.Pappy Sam had to call Dapo to come and stop the ladies before they get into a cat fight.
Bash calls Tina to resume duty at the club while she was with Tega who proposed to Tina co habitation which she didn't agree on.
Yomi was delighted Ada accepted his invitation to dinner and it happened that it was the same place Dapo and Daphne had their date.Jealous Dapo is seen defending Ada when they get back home when Daphne starts to insult her.
Austin didn't accept Kemi's invitation to spend time together and went ahead to cause a scene at the club.
Uncle Victor is always missing the point with his nephew and Daphne's issues.His mind always on sexual satisfaction which boasts that he can do better and cant wait to have her.
NEXT:Dapo goes to confront Ada for lying to him(Jealous lover)

Movie Review:Dark Side

I had seen Bayo Alawiye's movie 'IJA OKAN' War of Hearts many years ago and i had not been following his productions so i was looking forward to seeing Dark Side when it was part of the movies Africamagic was showing this month .The day it was to be shown as advertised it wasn't and i kept checking my movie schedule to see when it will be shown and boom i saw it  slated today and waited patiently and hoping not to be disappointed and waste my time.
The movie revolves around a young man Bankole Awala(Bayo Alawiye) whose best friend Kayode Johnson(Joseph Benjamin) had been sleeping with his wife Deola Awala(Sylvia Udeogu) behind his back .A mysterious accident leaves Bankole blind and by the time he regained his sight he decided not to let his adulterous wife and friend know and continued acting blind to continue to see their treachery.He put up the same act with his staff at the office till he was warned by the blind man (Nobert Young) whom he helped at the beginning of the movie to stop playing God.
Bayo resurrected from the dead as his wife's plan to kill him did not materialise, He had a  plan  with Sheila Edwards (Uru Eke) who was an accomplice to the murder plan but was working for Bayo .Deola's  reason   for trying to  kill  Bayo  was  that   she never loved him married him because her father was indebted to the Awalas.An angry Bayo brings out a gun and shot Deola!

And then the big one i didn't  coming  the previous scenes had been a trance!The Blind man took Bayo through what will happen if he did not follow his heart.(I didn't  have a clue at all!)
The Plot is obviously beautiful intriguing and suspense, filled acting was very good( though the waka pass (minor role) office staff didn't impress me)The soundtrack is also nice.
When Bayo met with Sheila in his car to tell her to forget about them having an affair visuals should have been dimmer to separate and look different from the present day and i found Bankole's face too shiny in some scenes.A little 'pancake" powder would have made it better.
My take on the movie patapata (overall) is that it is worth your time and a very good one.The movie might not be on high budget but still did not  deliver beautiful nonsense(I still watch them like that because of my 'loff' love for Nollywood) . Bayo Alawiye didn't fall my hand!hehehhehehe.

Movie Review:Mum Dad Meet Sam

The movie is Produced by Segilola Ogidan and directed by Tony Sebastain Ukpo.
A Nigerian guy Josiah (Joseph Benjamin )who is the only son of his parents and  decides to take home to his parents back in Nigeria a White girl Samantha(Daniella Down) whom he has fallen in love with and wants to marry.

Fola (A Dot Comedian ) thinks it is not a good idea and Samantha's friend teaches her how to prepare Nigerian meals which is likely to cook.
The visit to Nigeria was dramatic as Mama A played by Helen Gold  (Josiah's mum ) didnt  accept Sam and tried to bring back his ex Morenike (Edith Nwenketa) into her son's life  a plan that broke up Sam and Josiah.Papa A (Anthony Ofeogbu) the cool calm  father of Josiah dad  to remind his  wife the difference in their tribes but still gave love a chance.This prompted to finally give her support to her depressed son who went back to get his missing rib.
 I had a problem when Sam told Josiah to get out of her room it kind of lacked the action required for that scene.The lumping of the outings of Josiah and Sam from  after church  also could have been separated just for better clarity.
Location,setting,acting was good.Soundtrack gave a good tone to the movie as well and Fola brought in some comic relief with his loud mouth and funny actions and Mama A's fainting when her son brought oyinbo home was classic (Typical of Some Naija mothers to react  like that but i haven't heard of any that fainted Lol)

I loved the message of the movie that Love has/should have no boundaries  and shouldn't discriminate and those mothers ehn please your baby boy will have to get married  but doesn't mean he will  not love you less/anylonger stop being a winch(witch) to your (to be)daughter in law .
The movie is a good one!

Hotel Majestic 1/145

Maja is shocked with Isioma's arrival .Aunty Ronke made sure she taunts Ivie/Alero with Isioma's presence and also distabilise her. Ejiro needed bread for one of his recipe and there was none availaible. Ivie/Alero had to take it out on Jeffiong and Ejiro when she was asked about breadEjiro tells her she will talk to Jeme to reduce her duties so that she can be at the bakery .Timi goes to search for Patti's things and Hope was surprised to see him in her room.He made sure he intimidated Hope for daring to blame him for Pattis's disappearance by throwing a salvo about her uncaring boyfriend.
Jeffiong offers to help Alero/Ivie at the bakery though she didn't accept initially as she knew Jeffo always had a motive for lending a hand but he she had n choice to accept the help when Maja sent her an SMS .At their rendezvous Ivie asks if Maja will still break up with Isioma,he assures her he will .He hugs her with Ivie not responding well.Jeme is not happy with Patti's disappearance and blames her step mother Ronke and tells Timi to be a man.
Earlier Maja was furious with his mum for bringing Isioma over but she said she only helped him to make things easier as he booked a flight to Lagos in the first place.
Seems behind closed doors show  went down between Patti and Honourable going by Patti's reaction when she woke up but the latter did a 'chop and clean mouth thing' acted like nothing happened .He tells his son to excuse them when he wanted to talk to Patti who needed a job but what honourable could offer her was to be a mole at the hotel and leaves .Protocol was told to give her clothes as she didn't come with any to the house.
Jeffiong continues with his travelling abroad plans and wants to go in via baking this time.
Isioma carries on with Aunty Ronke's plan and Timi on how to handle Maja though it was a difficult one,she keeps at it.Ronke tells her they will try all their plans and if it is not possible make her get pregnant for Maja .
Timi finds Patti while driving and he tells her to enter his car.
NEXT :Isioma kisses and cuddles Maja right in front on Ivie at the reception.They are in the room and might be ending up doing the '360'

Desperate Housewives Africa S1/13

Tia parents asks Kiki to convince their son to continue with his engineering course at the university.Abigail is mother passed her message across with threats.Tai later comes to propose marriage to Kiki who declines and makes him face reality.
Shina Lawal's father comes to visit and Funke found out he is having an affair and when she stylishly confronts him he saw no big deal in it as the African culture allows it to the annoyance of Funke who later tells her husband she will leave  with the children if he cheats on her.
Teenage love brewing between Aisha and Akin.Tare isn't finding it funny and had to go and see Deji about their children's affair who didn't see it as a big deal .
Shina's father leaves his son's house because of Funke 's attitude and her complain.He tells his son that his wife should keep her opinion in the kitchen.
Kay begs Ese for forgiveness who is still doing 'shakara' but deep down she still loves her husband as she told Lekan the pharmacist while they were both talking a walk.When Kay Desouza goes for his medications Lekan decides to punish him by telling him it;s not ready after their chat.
Despite Tare restricting her daughter from seeing Akin but she sneaks out.Deji wants his son to confide in him and later tells him that Ify his baby sister who is believed dead is alive.
 Shina calls his dad to tell him he has a secret he hasn't told Funke .

Taste Of LoveS1/92

Ibrahim Musa Philips reluctantly leaves for the hospital after Getty's examination.Hadiza is brought to speed of current happenings while she was away by Jerry.Tochukwu finally speaks with his son CJ.Eve and Tochukwu might be falling in love with each other.....The latter books his flight to Paris to join his wife and son.

Before Kelechi left Hadiz Comme D'habitude(as usual) they had their romantic bonding(They give  a taste of love!)
Hadiza goes home to see her father and Adesuwa trying her best to heap Ibrahim's sickness on Tochukwu.
NEXT:Adesuwa conniving with Ebitimi to once again confuse Ibrahim.Hadiza thinks Kelechi taking her to the spa was a ploy for Tochukwu to harvest the sugar cane.And seems there has been an accident caused by Hadiza and the victim is Tochukwu.
NB Uzor Osimkpa has been acting  the role of Getty which was played by Kiki Omeli (I guess it' s temporary.....)

Hotel Majestic S1/144

Patti arrives honourable's house and did pass the night there.Protocol comes back to give honourable feedback about his investigation in Ivie and to him he found nothing incriminating.
Bene comes to look for Patti with Deji praising her by calling her 'Benelicious and other names She is surprised that Patti had left the hotel but yet to arrive at her place.Jeffiong was later able to trace Patti via a phone call to the bar (Feel good bar) in Bimiji where she was last seen.Ese in her tatafarian (someone who cant keep her mouth shut)mode informs Jeme to Timi's hearing.
Ronke wants to have a dinner to celebrate her birthday party and her children okay as no extra guests needed.Jeme promises to work towards it.Even honourable Edafe is planning a launch for his in -law's shop and informs Ivie who is not pleased with it.She later informs Maja who was glad to see her,they discuss about their affair and hope all goes well as planned.She drops her basket amd gives him a hug.
Ejiro's paranoia continues on black soup .(Let Chief Idobo carry his wahala and go joor,disturbing our international chef like that hahahahahahaha)Jeme assures Chief the black soup will be made or he gets a refund (Jeme I had the same look on my face like Hope.I wish all hotel managers operate like you ooo hehehehehehe )Aunty Ronke arrives with Isioma at the hotel (but that mummy is an agbaya somebody ooo,yeye of life!)
NEXT:Ivie shocked to see Maja and Isioma hand in hand  and Ronke uses that opportunity to taunt and rub it on on Ivie/Alero.

Waziri makes amend with his boss Tega and notes he doesn't like to be threatened .When Mofe came to the office,Waziri also apologise to her but wouldn't take back the words about his feelings for her.
Yomi not happy Ada is rejecting his love advances,Bash tells him to calm down.
Uncle Victor is really harassing Daphne.
Ada goes to the Duke's residence to meet Pappy Sam to cancel her meetings at the house.She met him and Patricia arguing .On her way out,Daphne stops Ada for a chat and asks to Pappy Sam to excuse them.Ada tells Daphne to get her shock absorbers ready.
Tina called Tega to thank him and to give him a gift by spending the day with him.He asks her when she will leave prostitution but Tina believes only that kind of job can afford her the luxuries she wants.
NEXT:Austin is at the bar and sees something that didn't go down well with him as his expression tells.

Taste of Love S1/91

Eve is surprised at Adesuwa's approach to the company's situation  so is Tochukwu who is backing out of company though Eve encourages him not to quit but he already as his mind made up.They commence a send forth party in his room leaving them both drunk but Tochukwu still goes downstairs to get more wine.Tochukwu's mum worries about her husband who is back to the company .It was there that Eve brings his phone to him to answer Cj's call who had been calling.Nne and Nnnena (Grandma ad Mother)  wonder why the meeting had to take place in his room and Eve having his tie on her neck.Tochukwu tells them he is a happily married man and they should take off infidelity thought from their minds.
Earlier Jonathan  Pepple goes to confront Ibrahim  Musa Phillips and made him understand he will not sit to watch his investment in the comapny go down the drain.
Adesuwa gives Yolar a feedback he is pleased with but Adesuwa's expression changed at some point(could she be falling in love with Ibrahim or has her own game plan?)
Jerry brings Hadiza up to date on what has happened at the company while she was away.
NEXT':Eve calls Getty as per her father's health situation.That stubborn Ibrahim refuses to go to the hospital and ride in his son Alex's car.

Hotel Majestic 1/143(recap)

Patti decides to stop the taxi cab taking her to Bene's bar and went to Bimiji .There Patti drank herself to stupor and said all sorts of things about Hotel Majestic and Bene's bar as the two can use someone to 'bend like crayfish' Sylvanus observes Patti's drunken state and teases her about it.She later tells a bike man to take her to honourable's house.
Timi visits Honourable  who gives him an assignment to convince Iye Mfon to sell her house and her husband's bones and if he succeeds he will have part of his debt cancelled.Timi wastes no time by trying to win Jeffiong over to his side though the first attempt wasnt fruitful he is having Jeffiong to his side little by little even though the latter yet to know of Timi's agenda.
Aunty Ronke is really making Alero/Ivie uncomfortable with her actions and words.She once again threw a jibe at her son's lover while she was spreading clothes on the line.
Jeme tries to encourage Ejiro on his culinary skills and later brought music to him but he was unwilling to participate but Jeme made him do his break dance moves like he did when they were younger .Aunty Ronke once again shows her trouble presence at the kitchen when Ejiro went to search for his father;s cook book .Jeme warns and wants her step mother to stay off staff matters but she isn't backing out anytime soon especially as she reminds Jeme that she owns the hotel.Jeme is pissed and even mentions it to Ejiro who agrees with her annoying attitude.
Hope clears the room she shares with Patti and was going to throw her former room mate Miss Hibiscus picture away but Timi collected it to pass it across to Patti.
Aunty Ronle brings some snacks and juice for her son Maja who tells his mum to stop worrying about them as they are grown ups who can look out for themselves.
Alero/Ivie tells Maja if they are doing the right thing as per their relationship.She wonders how they can defeat honourable with nothing.Maja promises to pay all what Honourable as spent on her family while Ivie will support with her art work.Later while Alero was cleaning he goes to tickle her and she brings up their relationship topic again  what his mum feels,he's still yet to break up with Isioma etc  which prompts Maja to make a move to break up with Isioma and books a ticket to Lagos.He later tells his lover about it and it was some kind of good news,
Maja talks to Timi about Patti when he saw her picture with him but Timi still evasive on the issue and talks about his brother's affair with the maid referring to Alero,Maja tells him Alero is the real deal !
Aunty Ronke sees Maja's booking of a two way ticket to Lagos on the laptop screen.
NEXT:Maja on his way to the airport (that is what it should be ) when he sees his mum arrive with Isioma(judging from the look on his face) 

Emerald 2/90

Mama Boyo tries to speak to Ada to calm down as regards Dapo .She hopes her presence at the engagement will not make things worse for Dapo.Back at her house,her granddaughter Mofe seems not to forget about Dapo as she still loves him.
Tina is grateful to Tega for saving her life and hopes to leave the kind of life and job she is currently doing.Tega tells her the first step is to get a good job and later they commence 'having a good time'
Kemi returns home with a lot of goodies for Austin but he had to leave when  he got a call.It was from Yomi who first warned him about his misbehaviour then later gave him special care in the club style and told him to report to work early the next day.
Dapo avoids making love to Daphne after their engagement night.
Austin returns home the next day to a angry Kemi who is getting tired of him and tells Ada.
NEXT:Daphne wonders what Ada is doing at the Duke's residence again but she tells her it's on business with pappy Sam but Daphne still insists on having a chat with her .

Ibrahim not happy with what he saw.He was amazed Duncan betrayed him and Tochukwu went further to tell him the other staff too knew of the plan.On Duncan's way he met a policeman and came back to inform Tochukwu who just packed up his file and left.Ibrahim grateful to Adesuwa for her information (if only he knew)
Tochukwu tells his father what happened at the company and they discuss it over a bottle of wine,Nnnena felt the alcohol consumption too much but Nne Adaora further pours her a glass of wine to drink ,her expression shows she was uncomfortable with it.
Ibrahim back home with Adesuwa and Eve is in support of Tochkwu's paln to her father;s dismay.She later leaves the house and shortly Adesuwa leaves.She notices Ibrahim's pain but she told her he was okay,by the time he left he quickly reached for his medication.
Jonathan comes in and Ibrahim wonders who let him in,he talks about Tochukwu's  decision as his idea and Ibrahim not surprised and  calls him names.
eve goes to the Pepples to see Tochukwu,Nne and Nnnena wonder why the visit in his room(me sef wonderment or is another love story brewing there?)
NEXT:Eve doesn't understand Adesuwa's mission and gives her support to Tochukwu.Jonathan tells company staff he is now in charge.Eve comes down to give Tochukwu his phone as his son CJ has been calling with his tie around her neck

Hotel Majestic S1/142

Ejiro tells Jeme he tried his best with the black 'omembe' soup and prepared it exactly the way his father did,Paranoia set in for Ejiro as he felt his father hid some of his secret recipe from him despite him spending his homework time watching his father cook.Ejiro lost concentration  prepared bad meals and later handed over the kitchen to Ese and Jeffiong.Hope tells Ivie of how Ese made Timi to go and speak with Patti.
Timi finally goes to see Patti but he advises her to pursue her dreams outside the hotel.She later calls Bene and intimates her of her come back.Bene gives her terms and condition upon return which Patti agrees.
Maja is begging for a kiss from Ivie and she tells him they should be discreet about their affair and unknown to them auntie Ronke was watching them from upstairs.Later she told Jeme she needed Alero/Ivie's help just to have a chat with her .She tried to dissuade Alero/Ivie from her affair with her son  Maja and even insulted her but Ivie even though she was furious with the convo she tried to keep her cool.She also Alero not to tell Maja
On her way out she met Patti in the car leaving the  hotel who had nothing good to say about the Emenis.The other staff also bid Patti farewell.It was Hope that informed others of Patti's depature.
Epa Agbon wonders when RRC goodies will manifest for him  so he can avoid the fingers and side talk about him since the flogging incident,honourable Edafe kept posting him .
Deji hails Ese on the breakfast she made but Jeffiong feels it is no big deal as yam and egg a simple recipe.
Ejiro comes to pluck veggies from the cemetery and Maja wonders why but he was able to explain to him it was where his father hot some veggies from.When Ejiro turned back Maja had to quickly hide the dead man's journal where he was getting numbers to make calls to get information about the dead man.He later goes to see his lover Ivie who looked unhappy (remembering what Patti said to her)Maja calms her and comforts her.They hug  .
NEXT:Jeme tells auntie Ronke to stay clear of staff affairs.Maja tells Ivie to be strong.

Victor Duke tells his don to take care of the situation back in the office as he could not leave because of Dapo's engagement.Yomi did that his own way as observed by the secretary who later asked for some love from Yomi.
Ada talking to herself that even her brother Austin asked her if all was fine which she replied in the affirmative.
Lola Duke is elated about her son's engagement.The engagement later took place but not without a little distraction when Ada showed up.
Tina almost got raped but she was able to put a cross across to Tega who came to her rescue.
Mama Boyo goes to see Ada and told her she shouldn't have showed up at Dapo's engagement as it just hurt her the more.Ada not happy Mama Boyo supporting Dapo's actions and making excuses for him

NEXT:Yomi notice missing money  he asks Austin who told him he had removed his share from the deal

Kelechi and Hadiza share a kiss while Eve bumps into them .She advises them to open up about their relationship to Ibrahim Musa Philips(Hadiza's father)They agree and leave for their destination.
Tonye complains of her husband Ebitimi's infidelity over the years and Ronke being the latest .Nnnena and her mum comfort herv and Nne suggests a divorce and idea Tonye didn't like becaue of Ebitimi's political career.
Getty.Alex and Jerry get together at Jerry's and Alex had to excuse the latest 'friends' to talk.
Ibrahim gets to the company with Adesuwa to stop Tochukwu from harvesting the sugarcane who pays no attention to him.

Hotel Majestic S1/141

Chief Edobo is not still pleased with Ejiro's black soup to the latter's annoyance .Jeme tries to calm Ejiro and make him focus on the bigger picture of what the chief's stay can do for the hotel.
Hope is not pleased with Patti locking her out of the room the room they share and tried whispering to Ese who voiced it out for others to hear.They wonder how Patti is faring and Ese is seriously concerned about Patti that she had to approach Timi who finally went to see Patti in her room.
Maja and Ivie tried reaching contacts from the dead man's journal all to no avail.Ivie suggests Maja asking Timi to get information from his brother which didn't go down well with him especially as she has accused people close to him in recent times(Inspector Tony,Timi).He later apologised to her and vice versa and her main fear is that of going back to jail.Maja later promised to talk to Timi.
Inspector Tony comes to the hotel to look for Maja after the little info he gathered from his neighbour,He tells Maja to watch his back and threatens to tell honourable about his affair with Ivie.
Odion also visited the hotel to know if Maja and Ivie  were the ones that broke into Tony's house but they denied ,a lie which Ivie wasn't comfortable with after all the help the police officer had rendered to them in the past.
Earlier Aunt Ronke and Timi cared less about Patti's sack and her hunger strike.Jeme wonders why they don't care and is not pleased.Maja later tries to find out from his brother if he had been to Russia and his answer was on the negative.
Chief Edobo apologises for his nagging and decides to leave but Jeme convinces him to give them one more chance on the black soup.
NEXT:Patti is delighted to see Timi.Auntie Ronke spying on Ivie and Maja in their lovey dovey mood which she isn't pleased with.

MOVIE REVIEW:Tempting Fate

This movie not only blew my mind but it is highly inspirational!
A mother on her dying bed tells her older son to make sure he cares for his younger brother after her demise.
The boys  as adults Ugo (Ramsey Nouah) and Chinedu (Andrew Onochie).The brothers are opposite in nature as the elder brother took a life of a crime to save his brother  while his brother Chinedu  often called 'Edu' is a church boy (very religious).He also has a girlfriend Tracy(Tiffany Denise Turner) who comes around to help the guys prepare food and loves him genuinely too.
Edu's cancer is the  major reason Ugo is a member of gang that engage in robbery and hard drugs and Scorpio being the leader of the gang .He doesn't want Ugo to leave and always tempts him with offers he cannot resist and with the health condition of his brother  it was easy for him to concur.
After one of Ugo's deal on behalf of Scorpio ,the police trailed Ugo home got the drugs and money and arrested his brother Edu who was home as Ugo had escaped.This landed Edu in jail and even when his brother wanted to suffer for his own crime he took the jail term for him.
A lot of things happened while Edu was in jail,An unplanned one night stand happened between Tracy  Edu's fiancee and Ugo that resulted in pregnancy.
By the time Edu was out he felt  heart broken but some years after he was able to find out the truth from Tracy,A revelation that changed his relationship with his brother Ugo and also made bad boy Ugo  turn a new leaf and planned to leave his life of crime.
The last robbery he sold out to Irvin(John Vogel)the police officer who intercepted the gang and resulted in a shoot out that eventually left Ugo dead !
I don't think i can find  faults with this movie now .Acting,sound effects,cinematography plot, even the songs used and the soundtrack will  touch your soul to confess your sins (trust me LOL)storyline brilliant!I have seen Nigerians shoot movies abroad and yet they still do not give you a wow factor but they nailed it in Tempting Fate.(Gbosa for cast and crew:thumbs up)

The shoot out with the police,The gang and their business partners and many other combats scene is BRILLIANT!Same goes for other scenes too.Props,Setting ,Acting,Everyone put up wonderful skills. which is VERY GOOD.
Tempting Fate movie has a mixture of all sorts Inspiration,Faith,Action,Romance,Love,Forgiveness .I wrote down a lot of inspirational quotes while watching  one of them include "Feelings brings down fear ,Truth restores hope,God will always Vindicate you"(It might not be the exact words but i know i try hehehheeheehe)
The movie is worth your time and money!My rating FANTASTIC!

Hotel Majestic 1/140

Maja and Ivie hear a knock at the door at Inspector Tony's house ,it turned out to be Tony's neighbour who later left.The couple later left with the dead man's journal they found at his house.The okada again refused to start(my heart was racing) but they were able to escape before Tony got back home.His neighbour gave him a hint so he had an idea his house was burgled.
Aunt Ronke and Patti almost got into a fight as the latter dared the former in the presence of some staff of the hotel.Aunt Ronke later allowed peace to reign for the sake of the guest and Patti reiterates she is not going anywhere. Those present at the scene later go and see Patti in her room and she shoos them away.
Jeme reads some romantic note to Ejiro like she did when they were younger,a kiss was about to seal it before Ese comes to interrupt.
Ivie and Maja return to the hotel and  and agreed not to go in together,they discuss the journal and notice the cryillic handwriting which they planned on investigating.
While Ivie was going through the journal Ese comes in to give her the latest gist making rounds in the hotel,she had to stylishly hide the journal from Ese.Maja and Ivie wonder what is the connection between the dead man-Tony-Timi
Jeme seeks Maja's help on Patti and Timi's situation now that ant Ronke knows but he tells Jeme to handle it herself as he is occupied.
Maja tries to find out about uncle Tony's business from Ejiro but it wasn't what he was looking for.He later goes to see his brother Timi to talk to him on Patti but Timi wouldn't listen to Maja's 'preaching 'and cannot see Patti as his calibre of woman
Uncle Tony reports his house has been burgled to Odion and when asked on items he lied as he couldn't disclose what was really missing
Jeme tastes Ejiro's black soup and gave nice remarks .
NEXT:Tony trying to make his neighbour the person he saw that came to his house.
Honourable Edafe also didn't grant Tony audience when he went to his house  since Tony had told him earlier he had nothing to hide concerning the dead man.
OBSERVATION:Errors in subtitling is becoming one to many.To the department in charge,take note!

Dapo visits Ada at her house to profess his love to her.They share and kiss and probably had some behind closed doors action(going by Dapo's request)
Tega warns Waziri to stay away from Mofe,he gets a call from Tina and wasnt eager to talk to her and quickly ended the phone conversation with her.
Uncle Victor has made it known to Daphne she will do as he pleases .At a point she even removed the uncle label in Victor.Dapo comes in and notice things looked a bit odd but they were able to act like nothing happened.
Tega walks in while his mother and daughter were talking and tries to take credit for being a hero from saving Mofe from Waziri but she was able to tell him it was the opposite.Grandma Boyo quells their argument and informs them of Dapo's engagement and Mofe tells them she will not be attending.
Tina tells Yomi off and has decided to leave the night club to work on her own.
NEXT:Dapo about to propose to Daphne when something/somebody he saw stopped him.

Taste Of Love 1/88

Adesuwa probes Duncan and Adia about Tochukwu Pepple fumigation exercise,Duncan didn't give

her the information she needed but seems Adia did.
Kelechi visits Hadiza with his romantic gifts .She appreciated the gesture but busy at work so couldn't leave her  duty post.
Duncan had barely started eating when he got a call to come back to the office ,his mum Tonye was not pleased.On Duncan's way out he ran into Ronke who pretended not to have met him before.Ebitimi tells his wife and son to respect his personal assistant after the atmosphere he saw when he came in.
Adesuwa visits Ibrahim at home while he was having lunch with his daughter Eve and his father.He introduces Adesuwa to them whom Eve had mentioned earlier before she came.Ibrahim and Adesuwa later leave to her house where he was given someTLC(tender,loving,care)
NEXT:Ibrahim comes to the company to stop Tochukwu from harvesting.Tonye comes to find out about Ronke at the Pepples.

Mrs Benson's corpse has been found and the police inform her family.Her sister collapse and later pass the message to the residents of Hibiscus lane.
Rhetta is in Larry's house to contract him with her house then Tare walks in and marks her territory by kissing her man to Rhetta's annoyance.
Funke begins to bribe her way into her wellness class but later she couldn't any longer .
Lekan and Ese continue their 'dating' and outing but things later got awry when Ese mistakenly shot him with the hunting gun he gave her that resulted in him loosing his toe.Post hospital Ese made him realise their affair is best seen as a fling and nothing more.
Chuka wants a child so bad with Kiki disagreeing and even torments him knowing that he is under house arrest with restricted movement.Chuka later tampers with her contraceptives but seems he had a change of mind.
The Ladies reject Rhetta's service of song but Aisha Tare's daughter later convince her to honour Rhetta's invitation.
Chief is not pleased Larry is slow with his investigation and they got confrontational but things became calm when Chief told Larry he has cancer and will like to know who killed his daughter before his death.
Tare and Rhetta visit the grave side of Mrs Benson and they sing.It was there Tare revealed she started the fire at Rhetta's house which she didn't find funny and engaged in a cat fight.The ladies later made up at home by striking a deal.Tare is to make sure Rhetta now comes to the ladies' hangout and she will come with nothing .She also bathes Tare outside with the hose in Mrs Benson's fashion.

Hotel Majestic S1/139

Timi vents his anger by breaking bottles .Epa John seeing Timi is disturbed invites him to his room for a private chat where Timi revealed his affair with Patti which started 20 ago (When he was 17 years old).It was triggered by Aunt Ronke telling him to be a man.The conversation took Timi and Epa John down memory lane of the lives of the Emeni family.
Aunt Ronke wants to be updated about the happenings around the hotel and Jeme gives her info on Patti's wedding cancellation.
Chief Edobo's family arrive and Jeme welcomes them with Jeffiong helping them to settle in.
Ivie suggests they invade Inspector Tony's house though Maja didn't support the idea but he later agreed and that he will go alone but the two lovebirds later went together after they had confirmed from Odion Tony busy at the station.They commence the search  for clues and when they are  prepring to leave  they hear a knock at the door.
Jeme is excited and tells Ejiro that Chief Edobo knows the Oba of Benin who is likely to recommend their hotel for a festival which will boost the hotel's publicity.Ejiro wants to spice up the black soup but Jeme feels he should keep it simple.
Protocol is at Ivie's school and not cautious with his investigation like he was told to.The RRC manager tells honourable the villagers are not in support of their project and Agbon part of the people opposing.Edafe intends dealing with Agbon for betrayal.
Ronke confronts Patti on molestation of her son and ends the conversation with a slap then fires her from her job.
