Jikulumessu :(Open your eyes wide) The latest tellenovela from Angola

So this is the latest telenovella showing on Africamagic (showcase) after Hotel Majestic.I expected it to be interesting especially is from the same team that produced Windeck .
It was kind of a slow start like a friend said and we didnt get to see all the fashionable clothes we saw in Windeck  from Kiluanji's ankara suits to all the lovely colour  blocking outfits but Jikulumessu sure has it's own flavour and drama.
Joel Kapala(Fernando Mailoge) is one of the main actors in the telenovela  who  gained admission into Santa Agnes college but he is being hunted right from the resumption soiree ,his first day in school and always by Professor Magarida(Maueza Monteiro) and Bianca(Yarista Resende) but he keeps escaping but for how long because his persecutors are not giving up anythime soon  but the good thing is that his uncle Roberto who is also a principal at the college(Ery Costa:he played the role of Xavier in Windeck) with the series of events now knows his niece is being hunted.
There is also the case of Ivo Kapala (Eric Santos) who played the role of Wilson in Windeck.It's good to see him in another role and guess what he is a player!!He is the father to Joel and also has a son with his mistress Rosa in Windeck  but plays the role of Nayr (Grace Mendes) in Luanda.
And Njamila(Sandra Gomes) a young lady who aspires to be a singer but has some hindrances ,her aunty is about to sell her off to a man who once attempted to rape her....poor girl .she is also a  'special' friend to Joel
 Celso (Joel Benoliel) who acted as Henda in Windeck also present,he is still a' worons'(unsettled) but i don't think he has schemes here.Other familiar faces you will find include Flor Loca (Sonia Claudia) Isaura voss of Windeck.
And how do i forget the mumu (foolish) Sarah(Elisangela  Gomes) who is being used for drug trafficking by her boyfriend who does not love her  and her father a policemen is busy searching for culprits not knowing his daughter now involved..
Jikulumessu is one telenovella that you will enjoy as everything is well laid out from props,costume,acting is top notch.
I am sure watching and loving it!

Uncle Victor is still having a ball as he continues with his wicked moves.He tells Oiza to act like she is one of the workers at the Duke's residence.He gets a shocker when he learns Ada is pregnant!
Ada unable to see Dapo in prison but was able to pass a crucifix through one of the prison warders to him.

Yomi informs Dapo of Ada's health but not about her pregnancy,he also needs his cousin to trust him .
Lola wants a DNA on Ada's pregnancy a she doesn't believe her son is responsible,even Victor feels Yomi is responsible but he makes his father know Ada is  not a wayward girl.
Dr Allen's husband want his wife to sort out her issues with her daughter especially as his son is interested in Mofe.
Tega is in  a better frame of mind since he reunited with his family.
Dapo's fellow prisoners  intend to cause problem and even escape  in prison .
Ada does not like Dr Allen's statement and suspicion on her family members,Tina tells her not to take it to heart.

Taste Of Love 2/193- 199(in bits)

Ibrahim Musa Philips mumu (foolishness) is becoming more and more legendary,the old man lover even wants a baby from Adesuwa to cement  their union,a decision Adesuwa is not okay with.
Ronke's friend has been able to be part of Ebitimi's campaign team as his PRO.
Jerry still falling woefully wooing Getty (seems that is his style)
Kelechi is back from Jos and his family happy to have him back alive even though he is not in good shape.Alicia apologises for what she did to Kelechi's mum and she is forgiven.
Meanwhile Tochukwu and Eve's relationship back and better after Eve's misconception but Tochukwu was able to tell her the real situation of things.
Hadiza pays Kelechi a visit though she almost didn't see hi,m but Kelechi showed up and allowed her.The lovers discuss with Hadiza seeking forgiveness but Kelechi not willing to forgive her(sakara oloje ni heheheheh)
Alex stylishly getting info at the bar from Ebitimi's PR man.
Yolar confronts Adesuwa after the information he got from Ebitimi of Ibrahim transferring his shares to Adesuwa,Yolar warns her not to mess up and even hit her !the battle line is drawn!

Movie Review :Beyond Blood

Moji (Kehinde Bankonle) is about to get married to Benjy(Okey Uzoeshi) who happens to be the son of her father (Bimbo Manuel) long time friend Uncle Greg(Francis Onwuchie).Moji is also engaged in a project where she saves lives of prostitutes and is very passionate about it .Ladi (Wole Ojo) feels odd about the union as he feels it's not really what his sister wants but  he disregards his thought.
The mothers to the would be couple ,the bride's mother Bola(Carol King) and groom's mum (Shan George) like typical Nigerian mothers are excited about the wedding and are leaving no stone unturned.
Things take a different dimension when Moji caught her betrothed in bed with another person after she gave him her virginity ,Uncle George's death ,the death of one of the prostitute in Moji's care Susan(Ijeoma Grace Agu) she decides to go London to find her brother Tunji(Deyemi Okanlawon) where she meets Akin Pedro (Joseph Benjamin) who offers to help her find her brother.
The movie exposes social vices such as human trafficking making it a universal vice and not just limited to Africa,things men will engage in and it will be seen as no big deal or part of life eg George and Kunle cooling off with girls at the club whilst being married.Homosexuality,trust.betrayal,self discovery,forgiveness are also some of the themes one will find in the movie.
The suspense in the movie is a good one as one will not see some later events happening or have a clue of what's going to happen next.The acting was very good,a blend of young,old actors and even introduction of foreigners especially Moji' s friend spiced it up.The subtitling was well done.The movie is also multilingual as French,Yoruba,English and Pidgin were used.
There was a particular poster in pink cardboard on the wall in Moji's office that i felt spoilt all the other's that were there,it didn't just blend well with the others which was beautifully put.
The movie is a bit long but it's worth the length and you 'll surely enjoy it.
It  is produced by Debbie Odutayo,directed by Greg Odutayo and written by Debo Oluwatuminu.

Uncle Victor is really having a ball as Dapo back in jail after his absence from trial.
Yomi is being helpful to his cousin Dapo ,he even helped Ada to move to the Duke's residence.
Dr Allen is finding it tough getting Victor to accept her acting on behalf of Dapo.he doesn't even believe his nephew is married to Ada and thinks everyone joking.
Lola is not willing to get on his side to eliminate Ada,though she was not receptive of her daughter in law,she doesn't look like she will harm her.
Alfred reads of Dapo and Duke construction's situation and he develops heart attack!
Meanwhile Ada is pregnant and Kemi is excited!

Ibrahim Musa Williams mumu 'foolishness' has reached another level!After small shakara from Adesuwa  when she gave a stupid excuse of Eve been hostile to her,she vexed and left his house but  he later went to beg her.He has made Adesuwa part owner of his company leaving out his children.
Feyisayo is back and is spoiling the mood for Tochukwu and Eve's romantic connection but as we later found out she came for a divorce but Eve feels she has lost her new love.
And Jerry eats all the food for himsrelf and Getty ordered at his date with Getty(but bros who does that na) He didn't even have money to pay the bill sef (hahahahahahah)
Ronke is on the part of ruining Ebitimi though she doesn't want to but her 'partner ' needs that connection .
 Hadiza is back from Port Harcourt.Dr Sunny is trying to make Getty dress like a woman that he even went shopping for her.she feels uncomfortable in the clothes heheheheheh.

Hotel Majestic 1/261*

Uhn Hotel Majestic is finally over!
It just shut down my Tv viewing skills lool
The fantastic series ended at episode 260 but having summarised a recap along the line done i  am  stylishly lazy to re number

The Police arrested all the thugs that caused mayhem at the hotel and Proto is also carried away on a stretcher.Abdul is being interviewed as he talks about his mission and experience at the hotel.Timi talks abou his report that fuel in Idara is not in commercial quantity and it stayed like that as no tractors came anywhere to bulldoze again.
Sisi Bene not wanting to carry last made sure she was also interviewed by putting herself up (if i may say interview bombing abi).Maja stops Winston from being interviewed.
Ronke and the children eat as they celebrate with Rogers not concerned.Maja gives his mum&siblings  a hint that he wants to propose to Ivie.
Timi is high spirits that he even suggested the staff joined tables with theirs.
Patti tease Ejiro on taste buds being back as Ese hopes he will not be going to jail but Patti told her Ejiro is on 'break time' no sooner Ejiro is arrested and Jeme breaks down in tears.

Maja wants Ivie to meet him up later but she notes she has so much to do ,he tells her to ask Patti for help.Jeffiong leaves the hotel as Iye Mfon ask Ese where her husband is going,she replies she has no idea and Iye is surprised.Paulo calls Patti he saw his mum and Tv and how everyone sees them as heroes,she tells Bene as the two women ask of Dishonourable Edafe,Bene will go back to her house and rebuild what's left.

And the proposal:Maja propose to Ivie in the old Benz(it was so romantic!)they seal it with a kiss.
Rogers meet Jeffiong at the bus stop as he once again Old Roger vanishes!

6months later...
Things are back to normal at the hotel.
Ese trains Uyi on what to say as they prepare for  a tour of the hotel.Deji plans to go and visit Marvellous ,Jeme visits Ejiro in prison as she brings him up to date about the events coming up:Maja's wedding & and the Hotel relaunch,Ejiro also has some good news to share he is the chief cook in the prison.Isioma and Timi officially a couple as well.
Sisi Patti has stepped up as she now has her own crowd in the village,she was even the person that declared the relaunch open and she got an admirer .she visits the hotel alongside her son ,Timi ask for who he is (for a second i thought she will say the boy was his but nothing like that)he suggests they discuss business later.
Ese and Jeffiong comic break;Jeffiong returns from his trip to the North as he didn't get to travel out of the country as he experienced hindrances along the way.Ese said she knew he will return as she dreamt about it,Jeffiong also had a dream (Mr Joseph and Mrs Josephine the dreamers)

And the wedding!Ivie and Maja finally get married with almost all the villagers ,staff of the hotel in attendance,Deji and Ese on anko/aso ebi(uniform).Ivie's father prays for the couple.

And Epa Agbon goes to see (Dis)honourable at home who is sick,neglected and helpless.Agbon brought him cake from the wedding and also play the recording from the wedding for him telling him it will keep him company hehehehehe,he really taunted him very well.

And Maja and Ivie leave for their honeymoon with Ronke expecting grandchildren soon!

THE END!!

Hotel Majestic 1/260*

Proto gains entrance i into the secret room.Ivie noted he suspected his every move and never trusted him.Proto calls them fools and tries to end Nathaniel but he ended being the one to be stabbed by Aunty Ronke.(Bye Proto!)
(Dis)honourable is still on his high high horse and calls Maja for updates,he also wants to know if he saw his son Winston who he feels Maja turned against him and request for the forced signature of the villagers and waiting for that of  his family.Maja insults him and lets him know he knows about this dirty line of business from being a drug trafficker and the likes.
Alero and Ronke downstairs as the latter tries to get her injury treated,she urges Ivie to quickly go and upload the video.
Deji was attacked but he was able to overcome.Alero finally uploaded the video but  she was not sure it sent as power went off.
The hotel staff,villagers,Emeni fought tooth and nail to make sure the thugs were sent away.
Isioma calls to inform Timi the whole world had seen the video as it is trending ,her father was very shocked at what he saw and that help is coming their way soon.
A phone call to Edafe to let him know that his lies have been revealed and the long arm of the law will catch up with him,he tried to defend himself but he FAILED(that was a big relief!)

The morning after the battle,Ese distribute bread.Sisi Bene praises Jefiong's baking.Jeme picks a loaf and ask for Ejiro.


Lovebirds Maja and Ivie share a bit of romntic moments.Ivie ask her lover if they are safe and Maja tells her only Odion can give them the final word on that.

Dishonourable Edafe slept in his car.he calls home to ask for Proto and Winston but nobody had seen them,as he moves forward with his car he had to quickly reverse with the sight of pressmen and police that he saw.

 Ese and Ivie make tea to serve everyone,Jeffiong joins the ladies in the kitchen .After Ivie leaves he  makes it known he will be leaving Idara and he has no wedding with Ese as all is just paperwork,he will go abroad through Silvanus' route.Ese is not bothered and makes him realise she will not beg him.

NEXT:Dishonourable never gives up his bad deeds!He mounted a tractor and gains entrance into the hotel,people are runnuing for their dear lives but seems someone affected.



Today is the finale!i will personally miss the series!

Hotel Majestic 1/259*

On gbono feli feli(it's hot) in Hotel majestic!
The hoodlums bring down the hotel gate and start trying to gain access into the hotel.
Maja calls everyone together as they plan a strategy and tell the villagers to split themselves into groups of four,
Oga Deji is called upon to help and he calls Jeffiong who wasn't too willing.Everyone is surprised Proto volunteered to help(I wonder what he is still doing there sef...sha it is for more drama)
The hotel staff meet with Maja in the office as they plan in house ,Deji will attack from the well area,Maja to guard the back entrance and Patti's suggestion could not be heard as Proto came round and Maja doesn't trust him fully.Maja tells Ivie to make the video go viral and he should take Nathaniel to the secret room which she did in the company of Ronke
Back at the police station Timi and Odion come up with a plan to bypass the hoodlums outside the station,Odion notes she scared them with a gun loaded with bullet which does not exist,Ejiro had to be released to go long with them after Timi had told him about his Uncle Tony  and Hope's death.

Everyone in the hotel commence defence strategies,  Oga Deji did very well at his well ambush Jeffiong and Ese cannot stop arguing about their marriage even in the tense atmosphere.(it provided some comic relief though)

Timi,Ejiro and Odion were able to bypass the thugs in front of the station though it did not come easy,they argue on their destination and finally settled for the hotel on their way they come across Winston

 Meanwhile (Dis)honourable is pleased with the chaos happening as this is evident with his conversation on phone,the wicked man goes to look for Winston who was no longer in his room.

In the secret room Nathaniel downcast and Ronke cheers him up.Ivie trying to upload the video and network in there is terrible. Aunty Ronke doesn't like it that Maja is going through so much for Ivie and brings Isioma into the picture.Ivie makes it clear politely her relationship with Maja is different from what he had with Isioma.

The thugs feel the next strategy they should do is to burn down the hotel but one of them reminded them that should be their last option.

Ese comes to whisper something into Maja's ears and Proto wants to know what  she said,having failed he hits Maja and head somewhere which we found out to be the secret room.

Ivie notice the brightness around and feels power back ,she decides to open the door only for Proto to forcefully gain entrance!

NEXT:Odion and co arrive the hotel. Seems part of the hotel set on fire.

Hotel Majestic 1/258*

And the drama continues !!!!
The thugs continue to terrorise the people.A phone call was later made to (Dis)honourable by Proto that he is also at hotel majestic after Maja will not allow/doubts Proto's allegiance .
Winston comes out of his room to look for Proto to give him his drugs ,his father believes that is not necessary again since he came out of his room unassisted,his father assures him one day he will be president and he is doing everything for him.
Jeffiong and his nana talk about the house,marriage and she was surprised he had not sold the house.
Proto once again gains entrance back into the hotel premises that his boss not backing down and the thugs will continue to unleash mayhem as they believe (Dis)honourable will protect them and the number of thugs are more than police

Timi updates Maja of his findings in Abuja and the false report Mr Mathews who works with RRC gave.He couldn't gain entrance into the hotel so goes to the police station to seek protection but even Odion is helpless as the (Dis)honourable has 'pressed' all buttons so state of emergency cannot be declared that they cannot get any help and thugs also watching her as well and Nosa her colleague has been injured.Timi was able to put a call across to Isioma who will make an effort to help them through her father's connections.

Abdul has to stop his story on Nathaniel as his Editor no more interested(powers that be Edafe has reached that side has well)

Rogers tell Ivie to reduce the portion of food she is serving the villagers,Maja comes in and all  his father can only talk about business deal .
Ivie informs Maja of Hope's video and that (Dis)honourable behind the murder.

Jeffiong woos Ese back while she was attending to Sisi Bene and gives her a kiss but she later made him realise he knows what he had been doing behind her back as per the emails.

Maja calls Edafe to know he is behind Hope's murder,(Dis)honourable in turn calls the goons to 'carry go' at nightfall.

NEXT:Timi informs Ejiro of the video in relation to uncle Tony's death. Commotion continues in the hotel,blackout,screams

Hotel Majestic 1/257*

Things are really heating up in the final week of Hotel Majestic !
The villagers were discussing on sales of their land to RRC with Epa Agbon and Bene present.The people feel it's better to sell to RRC as soon as possible with Agbon also buying the idea but Bene tells them not too and even if they feel Emenis dont have their time Patti is one of their own.
(Dis)honourable finds Proto's phone who told his master he had been looking for it.Proto informs his boss about the arrival of the bulldozers and it's demolition of places that were not marked,his boss is not sorry for it and calls it day of atonement.
Maja finally tells the villagers the presence of oil on their land despite Timi's warning.
Iye Mfon was also present as Maja had called her earlier.Iye ask (J)effiong about his marriage but he evaded the question.
Nathaniel begins his confession to Abdul the journalist,Ivie is worried about (Dis)honourable's plans as she informs Maja and also tell him of Winston's call and Hope's uploaded Youtube Video,they wonder who uploaded it after her death.Maja ask for Timi as Ivie tells him Timi said he had a flight to catch,Maja starts feeling it was a wrong move he made by informing the villagers.
Patti observes Jeffo &Ese still not talking as Ese leaves first and by the time she ask question the latest groom exit as well.
Bene and Patrick go and confront (Dis)honourable and Proto had to tell them to leave fast,Dis(honourable) speaks after sharpening a knife,speaks of people undermining him and  a parable to back up his reason to kill Nathaniel, he  gives the knife to Proto to 'finish' Nathaniel once and for all!
Ivie tried opening Hope's youtube account but couldn't access it.
Oga Deji the marriage counselor advise Jeffiong who was lounging at the cemetery on ways to make his marriage work.
It seems Ese planned the mail that was sent to Jeffiong on her uncle moving finally to Idara.

Igboro ti daru in Idara(There is commotion in Idara)The goons are attacking,destroying people and their property that even Bene was pushed to the ground!
Ivie is broken as her father's house as been destroyed.She suggests Isioma helping he situation as her father is well connected and can match (Dis)honourable on this.

Proto shows up at the hotel acting remorseful and even reveals his mission to kill Nathaniel .speaks on his boss and the death of Sergeant Tony ,Maja doesn't believe him(I kind of did but with snippets a mistaken spoiler alert Proto might just be lying)

Ivie finally access the youtube video!she is surprised at what she saw!

NEXT:The villagers run into the hotel.It is really Idara village of Commotion
Proto believes his boss shouldn't have done things this way as the Emeni staff see the level of chaos.Ivie tells Maja about the video.

The Duke's driver narrates his experience to Pappy Sam when  Dapo was kidnapped  before Kofo came to inform   them of Lola's 'madness'
Kofo made sure she yabbed the driver who was not pleased with her utterances.
Tina is back and Austin insults her as he had previously warned her of her co habitation with  Tega.Mama Boyo and Mofe take their leave from the Eze's residence.
Pappy Sam comforts Lola.
Dapo arrives home as Kofo informs others,Lola is glad to have her son back home  as Yomi also pays a visit with Lola being dramatic when she sees him and tried to stop her son from calling his wife.
Ada receives the call and she faints which gave Kemi and Austin a scare.
The Boyos are back as a happy family.

NEXT:Tega is of the opinion Dapo 's kidnap not reported officially so it amount to nothing.

Taste Of Love 2/184

Jonathan is not happy Nnnena doesn't trust him.Alicia calls to update the Pepples about Kelechi's health but Nnnena not convinced till she hears her son speak,at this juncture Alicia was speechless and had to end the conversation.While others toast ,Nnenna didnt partake .
The expression on Imoh's face shows he is not happy Kelechi found.
Dr Sunny tease Getty her family loves romance after hearing the true reason why Kelechi left Ibadan for Jos.Getty also teased him of his reaction post meeting with Tamuno.
Ebitimi,Yolar and Ronke at their political planning till Duncan informs them of Pa Aj's arrival.Ebitimi made it clear Osahon must be protected at all cost!
NEXT:Pa AJ surprised at what Ebitimi is saying.Tamuno knows someone who can help Jonathan

Hotel Majestic 1/256*

Rogers  made sure he put his two sons against each other.He was able to convince Timi Maja might have something sinister by calling an expert without informing the family,by the time Maja called a family meeting and they voted it was obvious Rogers had gotten through to Timi and not even Ronke could get through to her step son post meeting.

Jeffiong seeks Alero's help to know what Ese feels,she eventually did and Ese will not tell her pal at the hotel anything concrete as she is still observing Jeffiong rather they discuss events and people that have left the hotel.
Jeme tries to plead with Ejiro to forgive her for all that she has done as it was not her intention.she brought in food for Ejiro who finally got his taste bud functioning well.

Maja explains to his brother what he feels after reading the agreement that was drafted by their great grand father Ebenezeer and what might have happened to the others especially a disconnect from Ejiro whoose grandfather was an Architect and his son later became a cook(Hmmm Maja abi Pa Ebeneezer killed them ?hmmmmm) Timi cares less  as he feels villagers shouldn't know especially after their father said informing the villagers might change things and bring in more demands.
Kasala for Jeffiong oooo (hahahahahahahahahahaha) Ese's uncle living in Canada is relocating permanently to Idara (Oklahoma! in Jeffiong's voice)

Maja confides in Ivie about the recent events and the stand he wants to take which might not go well with his family,his lover Ivie encourages and assures him she got his back.The lovebirds also discuss their hide and seek love before'opendential' show of love,they seal it with a kiss.
Proto sights Nathaniel and reports to his boss and knew there's something up,he plans on what next to do.
Obinna the expert report suggest there is oil on the land.
Winston breaks news of Hope's youtube account to Ivie .(correct!)

NEXT:Ivie in tears as her father's house has been demolished.Proto confess to Maja (Dis)honourable had sent him to finish Nathaniel(Proto is sure tired of blood on his hands)
