AMTinsel:Kayode's lies And Dikkibo's Voyage

Sheila plans to address the families that were affected by her brother's criminal act,they granted her audience and even praised her for the bold moves she made to ensure that Tsav faced the wrath of the law.

Yaya tried to pass across Tsav's message to Amaka but she was not willing to hear her.Yaya feels they should get another lawyer but her brother is yet to agree to that.

Kayode told Damini he cannot tell Telema the truth about  funding her movie hence the continuous 'posting' .Kayode#Wehdonesir

Zane informs Brenda they are leaving and they apologise to each other with a kiss.

Charles and his staff are at it again,he ask them why they haven't been taking their duties seriously,Nnenna tries to give excuse of her dual roles as a Front Desk Executive (see packaging on top Receptionist ooo😄😃) and  a writer ,Charles tells her to face the former and the other guy should face his writing job.

Dikkibo has decided to give Amaka space and hopes that when he is back they can resolve their marriage issues.Amaka tells him he will miss him ,he informs her he is just a phone call away if she needs to communicate.

Zane ask Serena why Chief wants her so bad when he can get any woman he wants,Serena speaks on his obsession,abuse and how she escaped. (Serena has lied too much that believing her is difficult)Zane later hints on taking Alexis away from her.

Bimpe has an idea Damini is lying to Telema but he would not allow her talk about the matter,a certain Miss Ajayi arrives.Meanwhile they are also planning to do documentaries in indigenous African  languages.(Or is it Tinsel that is going indigenous😉)

Amaka made sure is present at the closure Sheila organised.(She is surely there because of Nero,we see you Amy bebe)

AMTinsel:Shoshana is in trouble And Sankey Refuse To Be A Minion

Chief arrives Serena's hotel and manhandled Serena and Alexis but the Police arrived just in time to save the day.Zane also came and was going to the police station to settle it once and for all,Serena will not stay alone and begged to tag along,he agreed.They were however shocked to meet Brenda there ,she told them he had come to find out about Tsav.

Chuks and Ene continue their love fight,Chuks is positive his wife will get another job soon.

Shosahana is in hot pepper soup as Derek pointed her to the police as his accomplice.

Sankey tells Masters to back off the Tsav Gardia case and when Faisal tries to play boss man with her,she tells him he is not one of her minions .

Sheila doesn't feel good about her strained relationship with her family members but Joanne believes all will be well.

Nnenna's mission backfires as Tolu told Charles what Jonathan heard while he was at Odyssey so when the kasala burst Nnnena had to confess Mimi was behind the plan.Nnnena is fired but Charles later let it go.

Yahimba is awake ,speaks  briefly and went mute again.

AMJemeji:S1:E31-35(Highlights)

So the search for Minasu Nor(Iya Minasu) begins and Oviyon in the forefront,he eventually found her but his victory could no be celebrated the way he would have wanted as his mum informed him about Peace being pregnant,the news hit Ovi like thunder and Aji's resident Cinderella (Peace) wasted no time to use the opportunity to start controlling Ovi.She requested he accompany her to the clinic to run pregnancy test and her agenda to taunt Senami.Senami was obviously pained when she heard the news,she had earlier prepared a gift for Ovi that she didn't even mention who it was for when Folake asked.

Earlier Peace had confessed to Folake that she was the girl that her boyfriend not giving attention too.


The market women gist about Senami and Oviyon's relationship and how Peace doesn't fit into the setting as a village geh'girl'

Foton received 'ela' back to back this week from Otogan .The first time Chief had to abandon his ogi (pap)and akara (bean cake) when his ejowewe(gist) was too much and the other time when he tried to claim Oviyon's land and the lease he had with Senami.Otogan told Foton to bring the money he collected from the lease and the council will give the final verdict later as regards the matter.

Dr Jide was the medusum interloper for the week .He was not pleased when he heard the villagers praising Senami for her works ,he became more angry when he heard Senami made Seyive her personal assistant and summoned her,he threatened her but Miss Minasu George gave him a reply that shushed him.Dr Jide also moved to Obi and Folake and disrupted their fun time together (I wonder if he has never heard that three is  a crowd) he stayed there and even joined them in eating.

Matron Zansi tried to have a conversation with Obi but Dr Jide showed up again and she couldn't say anything.Senami also overheard the conversation between Matron Zansi  and  Dr Jide about Meyise,her grandma and Otogan.

Neza also came by to the lodge and unlike the others who were wasting time to tell Obi ' whata gawan' he hit the nail on the head when he called Obi Meyise and asked to see the mark.😁😁.

Oviyon confused after the news of Peace's pregnancy and he informed Neza who teased him but things took a different turn when the test result showed that Peace was not pregnant!!As expected she blamed Senami for being responsible being the grand-daughter of Iya Minasu.

Dr George tried to bring up Meyise's topic after an encounter wit a lady who remembered Sena and her family very well.Otogan spoke briefly about the matter and how her version of the story was different from that which Oviyon gave.

Folake met Peace and Iya Oviyon at the market and Peace told her about her upcoming wedding,Iya Oviyon made it clear Senami was not invited.Folake went back to the clinic and gave Senami the gist but she was in a foul mood and didn't take the news well(Folake is also not aware of the love triangle)

Oviyon is trying to get back into Senami's good books and scheduled a meeting as per the land she wants to use for farming and volunteered to be her foreman,the two had lots to say to each other but they ended up quarrelling.Oviyon tried to seal it with a kiss but he got a dirty slap for kissing without consent (abi no be so)

Seseinu arrives Aji and she wants Senami to follow her back to town ,Seseinu also witnessed Mama Oviyon harassing her sister at the clinic ,Iya Oviyon accused Senami of killing Peace's (imaginary) baby.Matron Zansi didn't recognise her but Seseinu did.

Dr Jide starts another issue when he passed off Senami's idea of the blood bank as his own (Intellectual Property Ajoto*thief*) I wonder why some people cannot be creative or at least acknowledge ideas that are not originally theirs.Otogan is happy with the idea Dr Jide brought and the town crier informed the villagers about the blood bank drive.

NEXT:FolakeObi has loaded,they were seen kissing.Otogan is terrified with the sight of Akeweyon.

AMTinsel: Tsav's Arraingment

The  trial of Tsav Gardia trial began and ended(in two episodes) .He plead guilty and he was sentenced to death (There is still hope for him as that court is the court of first instance,I will also like to see an improved trial )

Brenda is feeling sorry after giving Serena away,she  informs Sankey of the impending danger .Detective Christy is happy with the court's verdict and looking forward to her promotion.

Ene has made it clear to Chuks he will be responsible for everything in the house because she is out of job now.

Nnenna was able to send Jonah away from her phone conversation ,she said a lot of false things about the company and it put the young man off.

Peju is already gloating over the court verdict,Joan wonders why she often acts unprofessional.

Yaya is not pleased with Sheila and orders her out of her house.

Chief gains entrance into Serena's  hotel room.she is terrified.

Zane stops by at Brenda's house but she was not around.

Laide at Amaka's place to cheer Amaka up who received the news of Tsav Sentence with mixed feelings,Dikkibo comes around but Amaka wants to be left alone.

Shoshana and her friends are waiting for a ride after the event they attended together,they(Helen and Shalewa tell her to call her boyfriend)

NEXT:Yahimba speaks (she is out of voicemail😃😄 ,we knew she has been pretending going by her statement )

Movie Review:Omogwo

Omotunde(Omowunmi Dada) a Civil Engineer and her husband Raymond who is an On Air Personality (OAP) (Ken Erics) are expecting their first child together.The baby arrives before due date and Raymond's mother Chimamanda(Patience Ozokwo) is more willing to babysit her granddaughter than Omotunde's mother Candance (Ayo Adesanya) who later decides to join in the babysitting not wanting to be outshined.The living together of the mother in laws under the same roof creates drama,clash,comedy  as they are from two different worlds ,Candance being the urbane grandma and Chimamnda  being the traditional and local grandma.

The movie is one which everyone can relate with as new mothers are usually assisted by their mother or mother-in-law after childbirth . The term Omugwo originates from the eastern part of Nigeria where  the mother in-law comes to cater for the new baby and mother and is sent forth with gifts upon completion .The issue of postpartum depression,child neglect(Omotunde and her mum)post childbirth relationship between couples is also highlighted.I enjoyed the drama of Chimamanda more,the character was in her element as usual though not playing the wicked person she usually acts,she was the total opposite here.Candance  aka Nwanyi Italo was kind of annoying with her when she heard she was going to be a grandma and her early reactions but it balanced out well at the end.There was also a place where honey was showed going by the product seen was a  popular honey brand  but was called another ,(a child care product)by Candance while she was introducing the things she will be using to bathe the baby.

Omugwo is written by Kemi Adesoye,produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan

The high level of cinematography which is one of the Producer's signature is not present in this movie.

Overall.I'll rate the movie Agreeable.

AMTinsel:The Obi's New House And Chief's Arrival

Finally the Obi's moved to a new apartment!They are excited just like the viewers😄.Ene wants got posted to Jigawa as the new branch manager,a decision her husband is not okay with.The management made it clear she either resumes at Jigawa or  lose her job,the latter reigns.

Zane is with Alexis and the poor little girl is confused,Zane assures her all will be well.

Tsav plead guilty and these spoils the arraignment for his lawyer who has a plan ,Masters is not pleased and he wants his plan to be ,he will not tolerate failure from the counsel,she tries to do damage control but it seems not to have any effect on Tsav to make him alter his mind for now.

Shoshanna is excited about her new job and she goes out to celebrate with her friends Salewa and Helen.

Brenda's investigator gives her feedback that Chief is alive.Serena continues with her bitchy attitude when Zane visiting with Alexis,she picked up his phone and spoke to Brenda to leave them alone (Aunty Sienna Serena as  Atinuke Badejo christened you,your ajekun iya is coming)

Yaya is released!Detective Sankey still feels Tsav is innocent.

Mimi and  her colleagues are trying to figure out a plan  to help them secure their jobs because they feel the new guy Charles bringing on board is going to relieve them of their jobs.


NEXT :Chief(Sunny Mcdonn-W is not pleased with the information Brenda gave him and would have dealt with her but he is in a good mood .

Movie Review:DESECRATION

Dr. Shola Daniels'(Joseph Benjamin) casual encounter with Linda(Rita Dominic) and the aftermath of the meeting results in a living nightmare for the Doctor .He is being harassed continuously and this led to  his  marriage being put on the line.

Desecration highlights issues on extramarital affair,self control ,discipline , temptation and forgiveness . Married and singles  will find a lesson or two to learn from the movie.There was good chemistry  between the characters  of Dr. Daniels and Linda .The picture quality is also commendable.

 However,I didn't quite connect with the foreign actors acting. While Nicola Alexis who played Adesua Daniels was fair ,Max Caveham(Martin)  didn't live up to expectation.Some parts of  the storyline also seems familiar.

The movie comes to an abrupt end , such that you wouldn't see it coming.

Desecration is produced  and written by Bode Odetoye and directed by Niyi Towolawi.

My Overall rating for the movie:Good

The movie was seen at a private screening.

Desecration will be released in Nigerian Cinemas from the 21st of April 2017.

Movie Review:Ovy's Voice

Mrs G(Shaffy Bello) is a regular at Ovy's makeup studio,her son Anan(Mofe Duncan)on none of his trips to the studio with his mum is take n by Ovy (Bisola Aiyeola) but he  is not aware she is dumb but this does not in aware deter him for pursuing his love interest with her.

The Good :The storyline is the  first thing that will endear you  to the movie.The acting is also very good and the role of the dumb lady was well interpreted,the other actors did justice to their roles as well.The flow was also beautiful!(No sme sme)

Not So Good:Probably there should have been more suspense build up in revealing Ovy's abuse as a child though the early trigger was not bad.

Ovy finally found her voice and  she got a fairy tale ending.

The movie is Produced  and written by  Biodun Stephen and directed by Dimeji Ajibola

My Overall rating VERY GOOD

AMTinsel:The Powerpuff Ladies And The Invincible Masters

Bimpe is over the moon when she finds out from Damini that Bisola could not be pregnant.

Kayode has helped Telema to pay clear her debts but doesn't have money to give her to fund her movie Cotton Candy because his money is tied up in investments.Telema learnt her lesson that sakara is not necessary sometimes.

Sheila tried to get through to Tsav but it yielded no result,she gave Sankey and Detective  Christy the feedback.

The Lawyer is not pleased Tsav communicated with his sister Sheila,he wonders why  she is helping him,she tells him it's for her career boost and for Tsav's innocence to be proved.We later find out the lawyer is fronting for Alhaji Abubakar.He warns the Counsel not to fail on her assignment

Bisola showed up at Bimpe's apartment ,Ene,Bimpe and Telema confronted her in 'Powerpuff girls style' as@Ama Emefa Agyeman put it.😃😄

Brenda fell for Serena's trap once again when Serena demanded for a Ten million Naira to leave town,Serena turned the tables and told Zane his lady love wanted him out of town and she should do that with Alexis.All efforts for  Brenda to explained failed!Zane is leaving!(Bye Zane,you are clamping Brenda's style sef😧who you epp😛)

Shina wants to quit school,Bimpe opens her mouth a d the next fly might just score a goal in her mouth 😄

The week that was on Jemeji

Senami was able to get some of the needs for the clinic through the funds she got from Mr Kingsley.Matron Zansi was excited .Senami suggested they do some sort of launch which didn't really take place.

Foton comes visiting to talk about the land he intends selling to Senami,the latter does a cash transfer from her phone and he is very when he received the alert but he didn't give the buyer any form of receipt but oral assurance.

Peace is still finding it difficult to tell Oviyon she is pregnant.

Oviyon Nor(Iya Oviyon) is not happy Iya Minasu is in the clinic and she is very vocal at the various village meetings the one with and without Otogah.Francis Nor (Iya Francis) didn't say much when she was interrogated but her body language was positive.One of the villagers also questioned the assertion about Iy Minasu being a witch.At Otogah's palace where the issue of Akweyon feeding Iya Minasu came up.it was concluded that someone has been feeding her for reasons best known to the person and Mausi has been silent  after consultation.

Oviyon and Senami had some romantic moments .the former felt he needed to apologise for the way he spoke to her after the discussion about Mr Kingsley and her acquisition of land.Oviyon went in his Sunday best,used some lofinda(perfume) that his mum and Peace noticed.Peace was to later have a heartbreak when she saw Oviyon and Senami in a compromising position,when she asked Oviyon about his whereabouts he told her he was meeting with a client*yimu* (wriggles nose)

Senami confronted Iya Oviyon for coming to harass her granny,she had to leave.

Akweyon appearance at noon and going to the clinic caused a scare in Aji when after she didn't find Iya Minasu in her hut.The villagers gathered and wondered what Akweyon will be doing with Iya Minasu.Folake was sent to check what was happening and she told them nothing much.When Akweyon arrived the clinic there was this look shared between her and Seyive.Iya Minasu also told her grandaughter Akweyon's visit will cause more trouble for her.

Obi had an accident while working on Chief's bathroom ,it was the perfect opportunity to confirm the mark on his lap and Voila!it was there,she informed Dr Jide who thinks she is talking nonsense and warns her not to tell anyone or her job will be on the line.

Oviyon finds out that the leased to Senami was his,he didnt need a soothsayer to tell him his Ajoto Uncle Foton was behind it all.He confronted him and Foton had nothing tangible to say to defend himself.

Senami's keeps avoiding her sisters questions via phone.

Foton is still on his mission top bring down his niece,this is evident in the conversation he had with his son Jonah.

Otogah seems to have some shady business going on as well.

Mausi is not pleased with Akweyon and she got punished.

Folake finally got the perfect opportunity to show Obi some TLC after his accident but  Dr Jide trying to be a spoiler.Obi discharges himself as he is not comfortable in the clinic anymore.Folake will get back to Dr Jide on the day for their date (Dokita you are likely to wait till judgement day on this one😜)

Matron Zansi had tried to have a word with Otogah but Dr Jide comes with his 'two left legs' and disrupts.(Dr Jide what are you hiding???)

Neza is full of praises for 'the good Doctor' .Oviyon is blushing,son of the most high ' it is love that his  bestie is feeling .

Petunia's beauty stroll yielded dividends all she needed to do was rub Foton's head and christened him Fotin baby and breakfast in bed and she chop the money from her  maga. .Foton waited for his promise but it was never going to happen.

Peace informs Iya Oviyon she is pregnant .Iya Oviyon tried speaking to her son but a call from Senami that her grandma is missing leaves the news hanging once again.Senami ask Foton and Peace if they had seen her grandma but their answers were negative.

NEXT:Senami heard some shocking things from Matron Zansi and Dr Jide's conversation.

AMTinsel:Amaka's Jealousy and Brenda's Investigation

Amaka and Horsefall arrive from their vacation .They ask Sheila how he got Tsav arrested but she is mute and not willing to speak.Amaka ask to have  a word with Sheila and all she could talk about was Sheila trying to flirt with Nero.(Aunty Amaka but why don't you have your own sugar bobo already

Zane tells Serena to leave to another town else he will not be protecting her,the offer is valid for 48hours

Telema is still in her cotton candy mess,she was finally able to do some damage control on 'The Juice' with Peju but the agencies are not backing off,they believe she used Cotton Candy to front her alleged Ponzi scheme.

Tsav's lawyer advise him not to speak with anyone unless she is present,she also goes on the juice with Peju where let's Peju understand that her client is not guilty.

Brenda tells Alexis to write her a composition telling her about her parents,chief ,her school etc 

Bimpe cant hold  it anymore,she drops the bombshell on Damimi on 'NEXT' that Bisola is expecting his child.

Movie Review:Okafor's Law

Okafor's law simple means old flames never die .

The movie Okafor's law tries to make use of this theory to tell the story that once a man has any sexual relationship with a woman he can do it again.

Three friends known as Chuks the terminator (Blossom Chukwujekwu),Chuks the fox(Ken Erics) and Chuks the baptist (Gabriel Afolayan)  place a bet to prove this theory exist with Terminator being in the forefront being a womaniser .Chuks the baptist  selecting three girls from his past Ejiro(Omoni Oboli),Tomi(Ufoma McDermott), Tomi(Toyin Abraham). Terminator set to work to conquer the ladies and he got the first two but couldn't continue with his third conquest because of love.

The Good:The way the myth of Okafor law was told is quite commendable.Chuks Baptist gave us some comedy alongside his wife Lovie (Mary Lazarus) in their home.Mr Omene( Richard Mofe Damijo) just gave the movie icing on top,the part where he confronted Chuks the Terminator very good and when Mama Terminator(Tina Mba) came visiting and met Ejiro.All other actors did not do badly as well.

Not So Good:I expected more from the movie going the hype,I expected more from the picture quality.Some of the scenes dragged on for too long and looked like the same when it showed.It would have also been good if a fairy tale ending flavour was not introduced,it kind of defeated especially it was with one of the ladies that proved  'Okafor's law'.

At the end of it all Okafor's Law was somewhat not valid.

AMtinsel:When Sankey Says,Sankey Do

So We all know what has been happening in Tinsel town recently but if you don't  this it summarily How Amaka's wedding was scattered leaving people dead and injured with the return of  Faisal(Alhaji Abubakar) popularly known as Masters.

Sheila sells Yaya out to the Police as she believes Tsav will show up because of the love he has for Yas.Coach is also brought on board and he is to help to get Tsav arrested.

All went as planned as Coach drugged Tsav's drink and Master's men captured him first but as the baddo that Tsav is,he was able to foil their plan and there was an accident so he escaped.

Sankey finds Tsav and he was trying to smooth talk her but she sabi work and while Tsav tried to walk away she shot him!

Shoshanna seems to be making headway in her makeup business,Ene and Chuks are moving into a new house.

And Serena just keeps pressing Zane's mumu buttons 😛 and Brenda is madly in love that is now a softie .(A whole Brenda Shark Mensah  as Chinny made us know back then )

JEMEJI(E21-25) Week 5 Highlights

Mi Kundazo ro(You reply oooo)

Aji is bubbling ooo and please catch the bus /canoe/from Monday to Friday  Now 8:30pm WAT on Africamagic Showcase.

Iya Minasu visited the market in her weak state and she collapsed !The villagers present at the market didn't lift a finger (Aji people 'em a yaan'-that is not nice).Seyive ran to the clinic to inform Senami and she went there to help her beloved granny  and Oviyon came just in time to help her carry Iya Minasu to the hospital.

Iya Oviyon was not pleased and she started her rants,she also spoke to Peace about it ,how Minasu killed all her children.Iya Ovi was not pleased with what her son's new friend Senami  and reminds him of Peace,Oviyon wonders where people are getting the idea from as Neza also feels he is a relationship with 'The Good Doctor'.

Dr George complains about the ill treatment her granny received from the villagers,Otogah calms her and offers his car to them to get Iya Minasu to Wesere.Otogah later sends for Senami .They speak at length and we got to know how Otogah has been protecting Iya Minasu ,he is a returnee from abroad.Otagah asked Senami if she knew why her father left Aji,changed his name and if he knows she was here,Senami could only answer the first two correctly,the third was on a voicemail level.

Otogah and Obi seems to be bonding well on the bathroom business and more though Obi did not like that he will not be getting assistance,Obi ended up playing  the guitar he found  for the Chief who enjoyed it and told him stories about his wife and son.(We see you Otogah😉)

Senami suggest a blood bank in Aji,Matron Zansi will be fronting as the person in charge.


Iya Francis finally got some rest at the clinic but took off when Iya Minasu arrived .

Mr Kingsley agrees to fund Senami's project but nothing goes for nothing,Senami agrees to be his personal physician throughout her NYSC year .

Peace is finding it difficult to tell Oviyon she is pregnant ,she also got advise from Folake about how to go about it though she lied she was asking for her friend.

Senami and Neza are now friends,the latter informs the former he will prove her granny' s innocence

Otogah also sent his guard to seek the face of Mausi on Senami's arrival but Mausi said nothing (Even after she collect the hen 😃 we see you Mausi😉 )

Petunia and Yansi(Iya Oviyon) exercised their combat skills but the market women did not allow a winner to emerge 😞😃) Iya Oviyon called Petunia Jimapon 'untrained child' after Petunia told her former sister-in-law that she can have Foton and Yansi yabbed her of being childless.

Neza and Oviyon made up after their quarrel and teased each other,Neza wanted to inform Oviyon about his tatafarian job(investigation) on some matters in the village,Oviyon tells his friend he is not interested because  when Neza is on such missions trouble looms.

Seyive is excited about following Senami shopping,they meet Oviyon on the way and banter a bit.

Foton ask Obi to deliver his message to Senami and when Obi probed further he wouldn't speak about their deal.Foton also put in words for Dr George,he feels she is Innocent and should not be treated as an outcast because her grandma is one,Otogah gets the news that Mausi will not speak on Senami.

NEXT:Oviyon is not convinced Senami in Aji to take care of her grandma and Aji people,he feels there is more to her  return to Aji.

Movie Review :Pathetic

Rita Shonibare (Bimbo Akintola) is a popular actress who has personal struggles she is dealing with in her career  and home front as well.Her husband Raymond Shonibare(Wole Ojo) is a philandering,violent,bully husband .Rita's finds out her husband is living with AIDS and confronts him on his status,a conversation that led to her being silenced permanently.

Aramide(Dayo Amusa) a journalist who had a nice and memorable encounter with Rita decides to investigate the sudden death of Rita to make up for the unpleasant things she had written about the famous celeb .In her quest she hooks with Raymond who failed to get acquainted with her and opened the doors of his house to a total stranger he met at the club.Raymond tried to erase the murder of his wife he was not careful about this so the evidence of his crime fell into the wrong hands of Kunle(Taiwo Okunlola) and Loveth(Toyin Abraham) and the two decided to exploit it rather than hand it over to the appropriate authorities.

The Good:The movie tries to pass across the message that celebrities are human and they have their own challenges just like every other person in the society.I enjoyed the characters of Kunle and Loveth,they gave the movie comic flavour.The acting from the actors also good.I liked the suspense that was created when Raymond's phone got missing.It was a close shave for Aramide but she scaled through.

The Bad/Ugly:Some of the subtitling was not well done,the most evident being the spelling of Lovet  which should have been 'Loveth'.At some point Kunle went off his Yoruba accent and switched into Loveth's probably he was trying to mimic his lady love but it would have been better if he maintained his lane and be consistent.Towards the end,Raymond tried to manhandle Aramide as he spoke about raping her having not touched her since they met but by the time she was rescued by the Detective she didnt look like someone who was manhandled .

The long arm of the law caught up with Raymond and Kunle but we are left to guess what happened to Loveth the owner of the 'client'

The movie is directed by Ike Nnnaebue and produced by Dayo Amusa.

Movie Review:OJUKOKORO

Ojukokoro meaning greed in Yoruba language is a fine narrative /satire that mirrors the greedy nature of human beings .

Jubril's (Ali Nuhu) wife  Sade ( Somkele Idhalama)kidnapped and he is surprised at what the kidnappers know about what he has in his custody and is compelled to give it up.Andrew(Charles Etubiebi) who is also Jubril's brother  and manager at Lupicon Petrol Station also has his own dilemma which is how we are ushered into the movie as we meet Monday (Seun Ajayi), Sunday/Jide(Tope Tedela) ,Accountant(Emmanuel Ikubese),Hafiz Oyetoro(Baba) and Soji ( Gbolahan'Bollylomo'Olatunde) as staff of Lubcon Oil and in that company nothing is really as it seems from their business activities and individual characters.We also get to see Mad Dog Max(Wale Ojo) who is also linked to Lubcon as the head and has another job beside his camouflage petrol station.

So many plots go on in the movie ,they are all linked and perfectly resolved.Greed is evident in almost all the characters lives.

The Good/Bad/Ugly:The screen play of the movie is that which will wow you!Creative and beautiful!It was refreshing to see some of the characters who are usually cast as lover boys in an entirely different role and they delivered.Cinematography and every other aspect okay too.The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.The is that you cannot afford to miss from the beginning else will get lost  which is a plus by not making it predictable.

We are left to guess what becomes of Andrew after he survived the drama/bloodbath at the Petrol station with the 'contraband' he never knew he carried.

The movie is produced by Femi Ogunsanwo ,directed and written by Dare Olaitan.

My overall rating:Brilliant!

AMHUSH REVIEW

Tantantaranraran tararana ........Hush (My attempt at singing the Hush soundtrack)

This review is a collection of thoughts from fellow Tv lovers like me who appreciate  and watch African/Nigerian content .

Hush commenced and I started the very first episode and did not miss a thing .The very first episode was a Wow!I feel in love with it and hoped that the tempo will be sustained and to some extent i wasn't disappointed and they deserve an A on that.

The cast:I fell in love with the characters of Bem and Folahan,those two didn't have to talk too much,their body language,expression was amazing.Next is Ruffy Jaskin and Alabama Cincinnati ,they did justice to their roles and I (We) enjoyed every bit of their appearance from their gesticulations,turning words and phrases upside down you just had to laugh .Mama Oye and her character that reflects the typical Naija mum and Adura's  makeup that looks like a clown .....I could go on and on and I always reflect this in the daily recaps I did.Amazing!!!Almost every other actor did fantastic too.

The Surprise:Nobody ever thought Sai worked for Ida.We didn't see Arestide as a mole for Populous who was keeping eye on Bem for Populus.

The Criticism:The first one that I saw was the way the Nigerian Legal System was portrayed .A paralegal was put on the sane pedestal as a lawyer which they was the case for Adrianna and Riame who said they want to Law School and remain paralegals.

The war declaration:War has began was always what Bem said and at some point we got tired of waiting but the good thing was Mr Tsenogu delivered just what we wanted at the end.

Cynthia:The character Cynthia overstayed and she didn't really contribute anything to the series,even at the end of it all Sai didn't delegate anything to her and made Simi to take over when he wanted to leave.

Atinuke Badejo:...............What happened to Gray and Tishe?Who killed who?Who did Afefe Kill?

Idara Ekanem -Well,maybe I was expecting much more,it seemed rushed and I wasn't really wowed by that ending.............We enjoyed the characters and would definitely miss them but the ending could be more neatly tied .It seemed hurried.

Chidinma Nene Kayla Ezenduka -Ezike"'The end seemed rushed.I feel three or four more episodes would have helped to resolve the story reasonably.Did Adze really need to kill the man?

Omolabake Bode-Mathew had this to say " I was not expecting too much from the finale.I have seen it happen with most of the series that drag too long.Hotel Majestic disappointed me massively with the finale so i prepared for it with Hush and I hope they close Jemeji better though.All the budgetary allocation they lacked in the entire series was put into the wedding and private jet scene.Not over analysing naija series keeps me sane.I hope the Future series makers are taking notes before we lost hope in them the way we lost hope in old Nollywood"

Hush is that telenovela that will be on the lips of people for a verrrrrry long time and years to come. It gave drama,action ,suspense and all that is necessary and needed to put it in the A class of telenovelas in Nigeria and  I dare say Africa .To the cast and crew we say thank you for lightning our screens  "you are mouthful" as  the character Alabama will say with 260 lovely episodes every 8pm WAT.

AMJEMEJI S1:(E16-20)Recap(Week 4)

The week that was on JEMEJI

 Oviyon confess to his mother that the rumours going around town about him killing someone is true.Iya Ovi is speechless.Ovi goes in to take rest.Peace arrives and Mama Ovi tell her to keep Ovi company and didn't allow him to go out till she comes back.Peace did excatly as she was told an she and Ovi had another intimate encounter.Peace had earlier heard about the gist of Oviyon's killing someone in the market.

Senami's sister ask why she is not seeinf messages everyone else is seeing on Facebook ,Sena lies on network.Senami's sister seems to be aware of the missing litle boy story too but she refused to speak further.

Obi seems to know a lot about the shrine and Folake is surprised.Folake also tells her mum about the strange things happening around her and ask solicits her mother's prayers.

Dr George is furious the clinic is under equipped and yells at everyone,she later calms down and apologises,

Neza let Oviyon realise he knows he killed someone in the city,the workers were talking about it before Neza arrived.Senami showed up and Neza leaves.

Folake is harassed by Iya Francis,the latter moves to the Chief's palace to assist her but she ended up being bundled out,Foton was able to speak to her to leave and advise her to go and face Iya Minasu.

Foton wants Otogah help him punish Oviyon but Otogah is  not willing to do that .

Matron Zansi visist Iya Minasu too and asked question on Meyise and  what happened then,Iya Minasu tells her what she knows but she is not satisfied and wants to know more which prompted her to seek the face of Mausi.Iya Minasu also wants Zansi to keep an eye on Senami.

Senami is on to another project and this time it's on sex education.Ope's parents had brought her in for Dr George to conduct virginity test for her because they believe she is promiscuous ,Peace shows up and she wants ways on how to get pregnant,Senami ask her why she wants to do that knowing she is not married,Peace says her boyfriend is a  man that doesn't know what he wants and a being pregnant might help him come on board.

Mr Kingsley is revealed!He is not willing to be philanthropic with Senami's project just like that.Seyive had also spoke about Mr Kingsley in a suspicious manner.

Obi continues with his bathroom design for Otogah and almost missed the bus to Wesere.Obi later goes to see Chief and update him about the bathroom,Otogah promise to support him with all that is necessary.

Oviyon goes to challenge his uncle as usual Foton is unrepentant and has the knife for his nephew.

Foton goes to the clinic and waits for Senami so they can start business,he came with a lot of gifts(farm produce) and his speech 😋😉.

Senami and Viyon later talk after they had a bit  about their past,from Senami's granny being a witch to Oviyon's murder he accidentally committed .The had a good conversation and nobody disrupted them.

Iya Francis visited Iya Minasu ,called her names and stoned her.Iya Minasu is at the market and Senami is dreaming at the same time,it took Matron Zansi to wake up.

AMHUSH FINALE:S1:E260(RECAP)

Ejiro is digging it at Adze's bachelor's eve .Vina continues to talk about the prohibition of side chics  then she receives a phone call that changes her countenance and you could see the shock on her face.Vina becomes teary and he breaks the news to Simi that the love of her life is no more,Simi runs out screaming.Mama Oye screams too,Tes and Oye in shock too,the party came to an end!

Adze and Tintin are at the Police Station ,Adze is in shock and speechless,this doesn't stop Detective Linda from asking questions but Tintin summarised all that happened ,he said his boss was at risk and he had to do what was necessary to save his life and also told the Detective that he was carrying a licensed gun.Bem ,Omowunmi and Benson arrive the Police Station.Omowunmi is worried about Adze but Bem believes he will come out of the shock .Billz was like a brother to him. Bem gave Benson a warning and wondered why he didn't come to him when things got out of hands,he also confirmed that Prime ordered the hit.Bem then told Benson he will do as he says  but this command he will follow starts  after his nephew has been buried.Bem also told his lady love Wunmi that Prime had earlier told him that something will happen to him that will make him pledge his allegiance.

Oye and Tes comfort Adze,Vina suggest wedding postponement too as Adze in tears .

TWO WEEKS LATER

Vina is fitting her reception dress when Adze comes into HOT ,Vina hides and says it is bad luck if the groom sees her in the wedding outfit,he paid no attention but just showed some TLC and whispered into her ears.Sai also announced his exit from HOT and that Vina and Adze will be taking over HOT ,this was an early wedding present from Bem.

Bem has dinner with his children,daughter-in-laws,his lady love and Simi,he told them family is everything and worth every sacrifice one makes even if it is death.He later hands over an envelope to Omowunmi Banjo in private ,told her it is time and have to leave,he will not miss his son's wedding.

Benson turns himself in  that he was responsible for the death of Bilz and states Folahan Majekodunmi as his accomplice.Folahan hears the news and calls his Uncle who assures him he will take care of it.

Billz is laid to rest and Adze vows to avenge his death,he informs Afefe to keep a close eye on Folahan and ensure that his father is safe.

Tayo talks about Folahan being wanted ,Vina was watching while she was preparing for her wedding,she assures Simi Billz killers will be brought to justice.

POPULUS HQ
Prime and other members are sited,Bem arrives and tease Prime about having his own Shadow beside him but had sent his own Shadow ti be point of no return.SS1 is brought in blood stained and Prime wants Bem to pass judgement on him which is death,a gun was given to Bem to kill him and prove his allegiance but he refused to kill him but nevertheless SS1 got shot.Bem commence his sermon on the mount and wondered how they got to this point his speech didn't  go down well with Prime who ordered him to get on his knees and ordered Bem be killed but the tables turned as Prime was the one that got shot!!(Epic!!) Bem also killed professor to make up for Shadow's death and will fulfil his promise to Professor's family. Bem cites the code of Populous  on how a new Prime can come to power which is by abdication  or death and in this case it is former that is the case.Three deaths in total occurred at Populus HQ.Ida arrives and takes over!!All hail the new Prime Ida!! She gave a brief speech on how the club will go back to it's former and laudable cause.Bem exits

Back in Lagos,The wedding is about to commence.Adze asked to step out briefly and he informed Tes about it.Detective Linda is on ground to arrest Bem and kept disturbing Omowunmi about Bem's movement that she became an irritant.

Adze block Folahan with the help of Afefe and sent him straight to his maker.(Death by gun shot it was).

The wedding was about to commence and the groom was nowhere to be found.Tes had to stop the band,Vina goes berserk and her parents did not help matters especially her father but things returned to normal and merry when Adze came back.Tes noticed his brother's shirt was stained by the hand with blood which Adze says it was as a result of shaving (Tes can sure relate ,even their father would too😁)

Oye tells Tes she will not appreciate the kind  of stunt Adze pulled on their wedding day.

Omowunmi keeps updating Bem and told him she cannot leave.Riame makes herself useful when she helps her former boss to escape.

Bem waits for Omowunmi at the hangar  and together they escape into paradise in style!!
