THE TELENOVELAS OF 2017

So it's almost 2017 over in a few days!It was such a memorable one personally .

I will like to give a big hug to every producer of a programme that aired!I might not be able to mention all but for everyone of you that tried and brought something on Television or the Web here is me giving you some E-hugs.I was on the Production set of  Tinsel  and attended lots of  sessions on filmmaking this year.There was a particular one I attended hosted by Tatafoo HQ where I got  on how shooting and transmission works. I also get to work with a film company.It sort of made me understand better but that doesn't mean we will accept mediocrity.

The Nigerian audience are now very smart and even if a lot of paparazzi,effizi goes on in a series,they are very quick to point out , ask questions and even correct areas that are very far from reality  and obtainable .This happened a lot in areas of Medical Science, Nigerian Legal System and others .So here is us hoping better research carried out.I am ready to assist anyone on the Nigerian Legal System being portrayed correctly.

1)

TINSEL:Yes Tinsel!I know some people might just be rolling their eyes at me right now and let me say  understand .I will not judge you at all and all you have to say I have heard,read .We can't take it away from Tinsel that they revolutionised& way for every telenovela we have on TV right now .Almost every producer,director,writer we say on the buzzing series had at one point being on Tinsel.We just hope they rekindle the sparks/up the ante  we got close to ten years ago  .It is Possible&we are waiting..

2) BATTLEGROUND:

Hmm..*blushing*
My best&favourite telenovela of 2017!The Adrenalin that Battleground brings is very different!It is in a class of it's own!This is me specially congratulating the writers for a fantastic job!The scriptwriting is FANTASTIC!Though they have experience/give some dry days but their work still maintains an A!Battleground got a lot of people who do not watch Nigerian productions change their mind and watch!I see Ogas at the top them watching and I am like wow!Some come  online to interact.The costume which is majorly from Ade Bakare Couture using Adaora and Teni most of the time really lovely,location,acting very good! From the control freak Kolade Bhadmus,Calm &Calculated General,Hadiza Bako's strategies&mean look and Chichi Fm etc.However they were totally not perfect and i remember some episodes on Medical Science and the use of Hausa language that sparked discussions on the fanpage. it will not be out of place if they are awarded a 90%!It is still showing and will roll till early 2018. as it will probably end on 260 Episodes.

3) JEMEJI

Did I hear you say Oklohooo!Ojehjehjeh ojeh!The Fear Mausi is the beginning of wisdom in Aji
Jemeji is an epic Telenovela  and explored an ethnic group that is hardly used i.e Ogu/egun depending on how you can relate.Badadry and it's lingo was brought to the world map with Jemeji.However at some point it started losing steam for some of us alongside the crossover /mix with two different telenovelas i.e Tinsel& Hush.Animation in a particular episode was also introduced .The excitement sort of withered for some of us but we still appreciate their efforts.Some charcaters in the series also shone brightly despite the status quo,one of such is Corper Fola played by Omowunmi Dada,there is never a dull moment with her ,another worthy of mention is Iya Oviyon,in the early days her energy was second to none! Dr Jide and his coat that will enter hall of fame can't be forgotten as well as the son of Babylon in Aji.Overall  I will rate Jemeji B still showing and will roll into early 2018.It also will be ending with 260 episodes.

3)FLATMATES

Infringement!!!! I gat this...And I am already laughing typing!This was comedy unlimited and laughs guaranteed!From Obus,Prosper,Baba Landlord ,Sammie,Mimie ,Frank,Wilberforce etc.The Flatmates,their neighbours and friends always have something to offer.They had different lessons,themes to pass across sometimes besides the laugh.Ratings ...Very Good!

4)SONS OF THE CALIPHATE:

The second season of the series commenced with additional characters such as Kulu who is betrothed to be married to Kalifa. and Marina.Kalifa is now the Emir ,Binta who is now married to Nuhu  is also trying hard to cover her tracks .A lot is going on as we speak  though it sort of started slowly.We await the resolution and discovery of a lot of things &situations.

5) GREED&DESIRE

This is action packed as well though not originally in English,It is a South African Production.The Characters Maru and Sharon D the devils on ground who wasted no time in taking down two people who stood in their way.The calm Morakile ,and the hilarious Uncle Makheta.Though we are far behing in West Africa...This series is worth your time.

6) SKINNY GIRL IN TRANSIT

It took me a while to get on this web series but  it was worth it.Tiwalade her family and friends are one hell of a bit hehehe.A very good one I must say.

7THE ISLAND

Enough Effizi on this one with a parade of stars and showcasing the Island life in Lagos .I watched the early episodes but yet to get a spark.Them try sha.


8INDUSTREET

This was one series I loved as well.It showcases and gives you a sneak preview of what  really happens in the entertainment industry focusing on  the music sector.And the introduction of the music stars is also commendable.From Sonorous revelation after the death of his right hand man Dreamz.Some of the soundtracks are interesting .Mo Eazy&AKG's feud.I love  the songs Controller and Gbemisoke. The artistes featured also got talents!Industreet the first of  it's kind and they started well!

9) JENIFA'S DIARY

Still as hilarious as ever .Thumbs up to the one and only Sulia aka 'Jeniva'.

10) THE JOHNSONS

Lucky Lolo and family continued to entertain us with his crew.Spiff,Efe,Pablo,Muhammed,Abulu,Siff and others.

11)FIFTY THE SERIES

You remember Fifty The Movie?It continued as a series and it had a blend of Nigerian &South African Cast+crew.It was okay all in all though it did not really trend to get people talking genuinely.


12) DERE

This was a very beautiful adaption of Cinderella with Naija flavour.

AMBattleground S1:EP174(Recap)

Kolade tells Okeimuite he has been waiting for this day to deal with Boniface.he will be doing it for Lara and Moshood's torture.Boniface is as calm as ever even when the gun was pointed to his face and shot but he did not die  as Chief Bhadmus had other plans,he got an ace on Boniface who has been involved in shady deals with General's business,Chief Bhadmus reminds him of what the General will do if he finds out and for this to remain a secret Boniface has to dance to Chief Bhadmus tune.

Onajite decides will be the one to go grocery shopping and not Vhyutu,the latter is surprised but she had no choice but to obey the wishes of her superior,Nwosu caught up with Ona on her way out and informed her his sister's flight was delayed and they will go and see her later.

Adaora goes to comfort her daughter,she feels she should still talk it out with Emeka but Teniola disagrees with her mum and ask her to put herself in her shoes,this sends Adaora mute.

Sophie believes her cousin can be more other than being the trophy wife,she reminds her cousin how she used to be while they were younger and how she was full of admiration for her .Adaora felt insulted at some point and also made reference to having investments and the situation of he family.Sophie is also not pleased her cousin mentioned her China trip to her husband,she told her she meant no harm and at  some point she had to tell Sophie she was tired of the negative energy she was giving.Sophie also got on Nwosu's case after he saw her talk to Ona,he ask him if she knows the woman he is dating,he tells her he knows that which he needs to know.

Collins calls Sophie to warn her and give a deadline on making their deal happen or he will expose her  and send pictures of her and his dead sister go viral.Sophie tells him she is trying her best and if that not good enough he should go to hell.

Kolade celebrates his victory and that things are going according to plan,Okeimuite refused to felicitate with alcohol and is worried about The Kalus(Father &Son) ,Chief Bhadmus believe they can't do anything.Adaora comes to ask Kolade if he has a hand in the Tenka breakup,he denies and acted like everything was news to him.

Dr Kalu tells his son Shola cannot be fired,this was coming after Shola teased,taunted and embarrassed Dr Kalu infront of some hospital staff  and fired Shola.

Emeka was in his office when one of the nurses brought in a letter he signed on his behalf.The letter is from BBP

AMBattleground S1:E173(Recap)

Kolade's brain box and trusted person Okeimuite tells his boss it is time to move on to contingency plan has yielded result ,Chief Bhadmus notes it is time to pay Horace(General's name) back in his own coin.

Nwosu's sister is coming to Lagos,he informs Onajite about this development and she is not happy about it ,she felt he would have checked with her before giving his sister a yes,Nwosu felt they had gone past that level,he agrees and will cancel with his sister but Onajite's later had a change of mind when she had a chat with Madam V who felt there was nothing wrong with what Nwosu did,Ona felt he should have still carried her along .Nwosu was happy when Ona changed her mind,he informed her his sister is a gynecologist and is coming for a medical conference....Ona's countenance changed .

Danlami is in oza room mood,he decides to go and freshen up,while he was in the bathroom  Mayowa called and Hadiza picked it up,Mayowa thanked Uncle ' Lami for helping his sister  with her plans to get through to their father,this was news to Hadiza and she asked him to repeat,he repeated the same thing.Hadiza was cross with her husband for failing to destroy BBP through Teniola when he had the opportunity to do so and it is time to destroy the Bhadmus,Danlami's act cancelled oza room activities.

Amos is the man Madam V has been arranging for Chichi.he assures her he has enough money ,property to entice and throw on Chichi.

Kolade tells Sophie he knows about her China moves and he has his eyes on her.

Oyiza confronts Shola for ruining her boss relationship (referring to Emeka) Shotlie does not feel remorseful and even when Oyiza that money will finish the Solar Energy is certain another opportunity will present itself.

Teni is distraught and did not pick Emeka's call,he decides to show up at the Bhadmus mansion but he couldn't help himself as he was not sure if he had sexual intercourse with Shola,this got Teni more angry and she ordered him to be bundled out,Daddy Kolade was on hand to comfort his daughter.Teni also spoke to Cyril who tried to paint Emeka in a good light and assured Teni of Emeka's love for her but he went off line when he insinuated his best friend might have truly messed up.

The CEO is back on board BBP,Okeimuite came in and Kolade signalled to him to signify their victory.Before Teni came Kolade had planned to go out.The meeting was with General.

Boniface was at Cyril's bar ,he told someone over the phone he  will not wait for long if they did not show up,Kolade and his boys show up (Okeimuite and Nwosu) Boniface tried to flex but Nwosu became the winner for the night after their kungfu fighting.Boniface is on the floor and Kolade is with the gun......

S1:E172(Recap)AMBattleground

Okeimuite  tells his boss he awaits feedback on the assignment given.Chief later gets  a call regarding their agreement with Kaytech,he was quick to decipher Teni's handwriting all over it and summons her ,Teni is as adamant as ever to change her position but  her father was quick to remind her  about General and how crucial the decisions he has to make is key to getting the General's funds back ,she did not believe him ,she decides to quit being CEO.

Sophie works on Adaora so she can get help to escape,she tells her cousin about a certain business partner and their business in China which requires her to get a visa for years,this information and length of  visa shocked Adaora but she didn't think far and deep,she will help her cousin.

Chief Bhadmus is curious how his daughter pulled the discovery off,he will sure get to it.

Cyril visit Emeka and speaks to him in blows,he told his  friend that he has been lying to him as per Shola,he showed his friend the pictures and Emeka received a bit of sense.Cyril told his buddie Emeka&Shola deserved each other.While all these was going on Shola showed up in her towel and acted like she didn't know what was going on,Emeka was super angry and he ordered Shola out of his apartment for good,Shola later calls someone that the pictures were ready and she awaits her balance .

Vhyutu informs Chichi she got her a man who will love and care for her,Chichi is excited!

Kolade and Okeimuite continue to discuss business in the room,Adaora came in and ask that the lawyer excuse them,Adaora ask that her husband help Sophie pull some strings to get a visa to China,Chief was surprised about the request and wonders what Sophie the cashier as he called her wants in China.when his wife left he asked Okeimuite to add China  Sophie's investigation.

Danlanmi calls Teni and updates her,he had sent her some files to have an idea of what/who are father can be,Teni is surprised as she never signed  the document ,Danlami told her her father must have presented it in another format or probably forged her  signature.Teni moves to confront her father and is ready for a legal battle if need be as her lawyer will contact him.The stress triggered another heart attack for Kolade but it was brief

Teni calls her lover,they both had something to say to each other,they decide to discuss their 'bad news' over drinks.Miss Bhadmus later got a call from Yakubu ,she was on the news,the pictures of Emeka&Shola in a compromising manner was trending,Teni's is shocked !!

S1:EP171(Recap)AMBattleground

Teni is determined and has made up her mind to resign her post as Madam CEO,her father makes her see reasons why she should not dwell on sentiments and be professional but she refused to listen.Adaora later goes to see her daughter to advise her not to quit as that is not the best thing to do & she is not a quitter rather she is a CEO that can make things happen.

Emeka is awake after his deep sleep,Cyril brings him up to speed of all that happened while he was asleep including Teniola's visit.Emeka tells his bestie that there is something weird &suspicious about Shola,he mentions not being able to trace her file or anything about her.Emeka also avoids talking Hepatitis B with his friend.Solar Energy also gives Emeka something else to worry about when she told him she came to his room while he was asleep as Cyril who was to monitor him slept off.


Okeimuite could not get anything on Sophie ,this was a very weird one and annoying to Chief Bhadmus,he was upset when he all  he got was Okeimuite informing him Sophie was once a cashier,Chief tells his brainbox/solicitor to get dirt on Sophie as soon as possible.

Teni stopped by to see her boo,he was so happy to see her and delighted when he observed she was wearing her engagement ring,she informs him she wants to quit as CEO because of her father's controlling nature and making her bend,she also mentions something about the hospital but could not conclude as Shotlie showed up,she saw the couple in a happy mode and heard about their engagement she volunteers to be Teniola's maid of honour.

Chichi is still on Nwosu' s case and narrates what she saw when Ona &the Chief Security Officer were going out ,she imagines herself in that position ,needing &receiving the TLC.Madam Vhyutu tells her to leave the lovebirds and be assured her own night in shinning armour will come.

Nwosu and Ona are back home and gist about their rendezvous ,Nwosu christens his lady love with a pet name ' Jite as he does not want to call her the same name everyone is calling her,he also noticed Ona talked about Chief most of the time they were out but she was smart to not spill or make him suspicious something was going on.Meanwhile Sophie was around the corner eavesdropping.When Nwosu left,Sophie hails Ona for being quick to put a plan in place using Nwosu as cover but warns her about the aftermath of the huge mess.

Teniola comes to see Uncle 'Lami who was packing his stuff from BBP,he apologise for selling his shares during her interview,Teni opens up about what is going on plus her father's plans and his controlling nature,Danlami lets her know it is very difficult to confront Kolade and win,this he learnt from experience.

Cyril hasn't stop stalking Ayo,He later stumbles on some pictures of Shola&Ayo....we don't know what is running through his mind yet....he makes a phone call requesting how soon he can get his testing for Hepatitis B done.

Teni notes BBP has lost an asset with Danlami leaving.Teniola later call Yakubu for  a favour

AMBattleground S1:EP170(Recap)

Confusion fall on the Bakos after Oyiza informed them Okeimuite Esq  came to discharge him.they recovered  and decide to give Moshood a phone call but he was unreachable though someone picked the phone .

Ona is seen spanking Chichi for her mouth without borders,Amos comes in and heard his name mentioned as Ona's boyfriend,he tells them Ona is not his type and old for him,the atmosphere later changed to a joyous one when Moshood came in,his colleagues were delighted to see him.

Chief & Mrs Bhadmus are at table eating,Ona used the opportunity to ask for  some time off,Chief wanted to throw spanner in her works and even asked if she was going out with anyone they knew but Adaora granted her request.Adaora is also happy about the current situation they are experiencing but it would have been better if Mayowa was around.

Teniola ask Cyril to look after Emeka ,she leaves the flat.Shola starts with  her Solar Energy &shot of lies  but she was denied her negative greatness for a while ,When the tech guru /billionaire slept she swung into action and went to Emeka's room.Teni also spoke to her brother Mayowa ,he praises her for her performance at the interview with Yakubu,Teni hints on her plans to become Mrs Kalu.

Teni is surprised to see that her parents have been on oza room activities,Adaora reminds her daughter they are married so there is nothing weird spending time together.Teni informs her mother she wants to go back to her flat,her  mother figures out it is because she wants to spend more time with Emeka ,she counsels her daughter not to sell herself cheap but wjen Teni failed to get the memo her request was cancelled.

Yakubu gives Teni a second chance ,he is very grateful for it,Teniola had released a statement online in a positive light.Teni discovers something in one of the documents and she got clarification from the receptionist at BBP.She returns home and queries her father why he will want to destroy Medicare which is  Dr Kalu Chijoke's hospital ,Chief Bhadmus as usual doesn't see anything wrong as the move is purely a business decision which his daughter has to make and she should jettison sentiments.

Sophie got her shocker when Collins informed her at their rendezvous that he had 'taken care' of her lover who she planned with to deal with him and the only reason she did not join him was because their business.

Teni informs her father she is resigning as CEO of BBP.

Hadiza didn't allow her megida to sulk after he spoke to the Bhadmus ,she told him to look at the bigger picture i.e taking over of MLA,they next step was for them to go and see Moshood who had promised to do anything for them after the 'kind gesture'

Chief gives Sophie her shut up money ,she leaves the study,Chief calls Okeimuite to dig into Sophie's past ,he needs to know.

A nurse delivers an envelope to Dr Emeka,he opens it and as we later found out it is the test result,he is still positive,he informs Teni of the second opinion test  and he told her it was just what he was expecting,he will not like to distract her so he advise she gets back to work.

Chief hails Teniola once again,her father wondered how she pulled it off successfully,she told him she received help from Mr Ige Williams,this was a big surprise for Chief,Teni wants to gets updated  so as to know how to move the company forward,she goes with one of the files her father showed her,when she left Okeimuite tells his boss he is not comfortable with Teni being on top of things as  a this might ruin their plans,Chief assures him all will be well.

Emeka is at Cyril's bar drowning his pain in alcohol,he tells Cyril about his status,his bestie ask him if Teni knows and his answer was positive.Cyril tells him to stop being insecure and he should be glad he has a girl like Teni.

Sophie's friend can't trace Collins  so Sophie contacted him by herself in a bid to set him up,She also called a travel agency to book a one way ticket to China.

Adaora was disappointed in Ona for dating a security man.Ona feels nothing wrong with him ,she later understood after she discovered the person her Madam was referring to was Amos.Chichi was there again to offer her aproko laugh

Nwosu suggest to Ona they go on a date all night from movies ,jazz and maybe sometime in the oza room.

Cyril takes a drunk Emeka home,Shola 'Shotlie'  released another lie to him when she told him she is also infected with Hepatitis,this sends shivers down Cyril's spine having had sex with her unprotected,Shola also told Cyril Emeka got it from her and not via the needle like he claimed,

Oyiza was leaving Moshood's ward when she the Bakos,they were there to see Moshood,she informed them he had been discharged and Okeimuite had taken him the Bhadmus mansion.

Adaora and Kolade Bhadmus are really proud of their daughter ,they are full of praises for her that even Adaora wanted to buy her victor's breakfast like she used to do when she aced her test in secondary school,Teni reminded her mum she is a big gal but her mum let her know she is not too old to be celebrated.

Yakubu ate the humble akara ,he pays Teni a visit in her office,he noted he is a high risk visitor especially as the Teni's  personal security was present  ,he reeled out excuses why he had treated her unfairly from trying to keep his job ,emotionally devastated bla bla bla a,he wants Teni to put in a word for him so his career can resurrect and promised to be her media ally  but his sermon on the mount did not move Teni,she reminded him on how he has caused pain to her and her family as well as others through his job,she then told him to use the door.

Okeimuite feels his boss decision for Ona to stay back is high risk.Kolade tells his Solicitor he has everything under control,he feels he owes the universe after losing Lara's death to protect the child and Adaora will not leave because their assets tied together,she can't survive without money and if trouble looms/happens he will resort to forceful extraction.

Chief Bhadmus call Emeka,he tells him he lacks respect with the way he comes into his house to see Teni,his behaviour his unacceptable culturally.Chief also commends him for keeping his mouth closed about his feigned sickness ,ask about the hospital and his father and told him he is still watching him closely as any mistake will land on his clearance list.Emeka got the memo and also ask about Mayowa,Chief told him he is fine.

Chichi is giving her Madam pedicure,Adaora seizes that opportunity to ask about Ona's glow,Chichi told her madam Ona's new boyfriend is the reason for her glow and she had seen him send her a love letter ,she sighted it on her table.Further probe left Chichi uncomfortable and made her uncomfortable,Adaora had to let Chichi go,she later looks outside and saw Ona talking to Amos smiling

Shola visit Cyril who is missing Ayo,he sure trails her but Ayo will not pick his calls.Shola hails him for his business achievements and ask for tips topping the request with a visit to his home,Cyril's answer is negative.

Emeka spoke to his father,he ask about Shola's details,Dr Kalu told his son not to bother as Shola is the child of a friend,this comes as a surprise to Emeka as it contradicts what Shola told him.

Danlami is full of praises for Teniola,Hadiza is not liking it and told her husband to stop it.Kolade's call comes in and he let his former business partner know that he be engineering his downfall as well.Hadiza tells her husband not to plead with him as the war as begun between them.Adaora also told 'Lami he did the unforgivable.

AMBattleground S1:EP167(Recap)

The Interview /Expose on BBP begins on The Insider with Yakubu Gomwalk,he touched all the issues that has happened to the company from Chief Bhadmus and even Danlanmi who was the shortest CEO,initially Teni was nervous but she sailed through perfectly and massacred Yakubu,she used intellectual and brilliant responses to answer him before she used the leverage her father had when she tried to 'use the sins of the father' on the child'.It was lethal!!Yakubu will probably not recover from it for a long time.During the interview Hadiza told her husband to sell his shares to worsen the situation but Teni managed it well and had something positive to say about the new shareholders.

Back at home,everyone watched from the Bakos to the Bhadmus,Teniola's parents were initially nervous and Kolade informed Okeimuite to strike but it was no longer necessary.When Kolade was sceptic ,Chichi who was cleaning and present in the living room added her mouth in favour of Teni doing well but she had to borrow herself brain and keep quiet after all she was not invited to the conversation&viewing.

Ona is on a phonecall with someone on her pregnancy issue,Miss Sophie was eavesdropping,she tells and warns Ona to leave as the people she is dealing with are dangerous,Ona did not accept Miss Sophie's advice and tell her she is the last person that she can open up to.

Sophie calls her Sugar friend that she needs to fix someone who has been threatening her,the person is Collins.The man assured her it will be done.

Shola made sure she messed things u a bit,she picked Teniola's phonecall to Emeka but she did not talk but increased the volume of music,she also took a picture of both of them.Teni had tried to reach her lover all to no avail.By the time Emeka woke up he was confused an asked Solar Energy what happened,she said nothing,he rushed to see Teni to apologise,Kolade was present and asked him if the time he came was the appropriate time to visit the a CEO,Teni tells her father not to intervene and he excused them.Emeka apologise,Teni forgave him and asked of he was fine,his answer was positive.Okeimuite Esq came and saw the lovebirds in a cosy mood,Shola calls him and informed him he has something for him to break Tenka but she ask for permission to continue,he also ask her to send the picture.

Ona is seen laying Kolade's bed,he enters the room and brings up Lara's name,he tells Ona she is his daughter and killed her for not being reasonable,he then threatens Ona to sign the documents,Ona is seen holding it to sign and in tears .

Cinema Review:The Wedding Party 2:Destination Dubai

You are probably in another country and maybe planet if you have not heard or did not hear about this movie,personally I loved the Part 1 as it shows the typical reactions,actions and chaos that happens/could happen in a Nigerian wedding, the glamour and all was second to none as well .it ended well and I was curious to see what the sequel will be all about.

Dunni Onwuka  nee Coker(Adesuwa Etomi) is now married and  pregnant  but the story is quick to shift from her and focus on her brother -in -law Nonso Onwuka (Eyinna Nwigwe) who had to act along in a mistaken wedding proposal to his girlfriend  Deirdre(Daniella Down)  but realised she is the best thing that ever happened in his life and they live happily after but not without chaos from the day till the  day of the wedding.


 Not So Good:Hmm ,Except for a introduction of new characters that brought life and were recycled into different roles,the narrative did not change per se,there were still a Shola ( IkechukwuThe Rapper) and Rosie ( Beverely Naya) to cause chaos , some  key members of the bride and groom family were still each other's throat,the wahala with the wedding planner just like the Wedding Party 1.Too many comedians and at some point it was a turn off for me,while some delivered some over did it  and I could not read/see any tangible contribution of their role in the movie.Some of the main actors in some scenes were also sort of calm ,they were only in their elements when they had to yell.

The Good:You have to give it to the cinematography,location and costuming.They were on point!!Mr Onwuka's sister played by the super duper action packed Mama G (Patience Ozokwor) was in her element!Ndi too much!!!!!!!!Obianuju Onwuka (Iretiola Doyle) was as cold as ever too,while every other tried,, I enjoyed these two,they  interpreted very well.chai they need not talk before you get the message they were trying to pass across,there were also some moments that will/might  make you laugh as well in the movie

The Wedding Party ended in a double celebration for the Onwuka Family and it sure took us  on a mini trip to and around  Dubai.


The Wedding Party is an ELFIKIE collection,directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and written by Naz Onuzo.

Overall I will rate the movie Okay(Save for the tourism&effizi,nurrin special)

AMBattleground S1:E166(Recap)

Shola did not take the termination of her contract with Okeimuite Esq likely and threatened him with revealing her assignment to the lovebirds and even Dr Chijoke Kalu but she was warned not to dare less she gets burnt.

Nwosu was on her call and the conversation was that which suggested love,it was his sister but Ona thought otherwise and immediately she confronted him for toying with her emotions,Nwosu made her realise he was talking with his sister,he called her back and made Onajite speak with her,he teased her of being jealous which was a good sign ,he later profess the love he has for her and they were about to seal it with a kiss till Nwosu stopped,Ona was upset at his behaviour and walked away.

Okeimuite visited Teniola to offer her help  by rubbing mud on Yakubu Gomwalk of The Insider,he told her this is personal and her father does not have a hand in it,Teni refuse to believe the lies and did not accept his aid.Miss Bhadmus later calls her boo Emeka about her interview,he will show up to support her .Dr Emeka who had called the hospital's HR department to get Shola's data but nothing came up on her,it was very strange to him knowing that his father was very meticulous.

The Solar Energy(Shola) shows up and she is a celebration mood ,it was her mum's birthday,Dr Emeka had to remind her the information she gave earlier starting her parents were dead.Shola will not rest and brought some drinks for the celebration alongside Emeka's favourite biscuit,he had refuse to join in the celebration but  went to prepare to support Teni ,a call came in that asked for his details and distracted him,he ended up sipping the drink .We also got to know Emeka's mother died when he was six(6) and she was a nurse. He later fell asleep,Shola called her contacts not to bother on coming to the hospital as she has already gotten what she wanted,she also professed her love to a sleeping Emeka.

Teniola is home preparing for her interview,her father comes to warn her and make her accept the help from Okeimuite,she remained adamant until Chief Bhadmus let her know she will be stripped of her position if she fails this time.This sank in and she might just do his bidding.

Adaora notice Ona has changed but she is yet to place what it is,Kolade joins his wife at Table and she mentions the change to him ,he tells her he noticed nothing,the joint dinning was stopped when Nwosu came to inform the Eagle that Okeimuite was waiting for him in the study.

Chief Bhadmus wants Okeimuite to prepare another agreement for Ona and he hopes she can open her eyes to see the bigger picture,he also feels he has been too lenient with her.Chief also wants  his Solicitor to be on standby at the interview incase things are not going in Teni's favour.

The Interview begin but we will get to see in the next episode

AMBattleground S1:EP165(Recap)

Teniola pleads with her mum to  get through to Hadiza to help in convincing Danlami ,Adaora goes ahead but was not successful in getting through with Hadiza rather the battle lines have been drawn silently.

Shola is not giving up from getting information to break Emeka&Teni,she goes to Dr Emeka's office to ransack his table.Oyiza also get to confront Shola once again on whatever she is up too and warns her about the dangerous people involved.

Nwosu explains to Ona why what he said hit him below the belt,he grew up seeing his father irresponsible and he vowed not be like that,he also declared his kokoroko love for Onajite.Ona will get the gift and everything about it on her account.

Chief Bhadmus wants Shola changed,Okeimuite ask his boss why he has the knife for Emeka who has remained discreet with what he has known ,Kolade tells his Counsel that is not the problem but he likes to be in charge and control people but Emeka seem not to be under that category so he has to get out of the way.

Sophie and Adaora watching a series and the latter believes the maid dellusional as she can never marry the boss,Ona comes in and she was invited into the conversation that came out of the Soap Opera,initially she did not want to say anything but after hearing her boss speak about status and the maid never getting the man,Ona informs them she has watched it and the maid got the man.

Yakubu informs Teni he has the full backing of his ogas at the top 100% on the expose of BBP and the story might be just be that they will fetch him a prestigious award in journalism.

Sola got fired!Okeimuite informed her of the termination of her job.

Ona informs Kolade that she is not going anywhere .

Hadiza was able to convince her husband not to sell her shares now,they will sell at a crucial time that will affect Kolade and he will not be able to rise up again.

AMBattleground S1:E164(Recap)

Teni  tells Lucy to gather he the files as she wants to have a meeting with the Board Of Directors. She calls Uncle Danlami and pleads with him again to assist her especially with The Interview she will be having on The Insider with Yakubu but Danlami refuse to change his position.

Madam V is furious with Chichi about her basket mouth ,she was about to deal with her when Madam Adaora came around so she had to stop the punishment.

It seems Sophie is finally debt free from Collins but he wants them to go into another business venture together again but she refused despite his pleas and persuasion.Adaora came closer and in usual Sophie style she changed the topic .Adaora waste no time and accuse her cousin of frolicking with her husband,this sounded very ridiculous to Sophie ,she told her cousin Kolade is not her type and she will never do that.Adaora apologise and notes she was delusional ,after she left Sophie had to speak that her cousin is blind.

Teni ad Emeka have a chat over the phone about her interview with Yakubu,he feels she should not do it.She also ask about his Hepatitis B status ,he assures her he is on top of it.

Shola will not let Emeka be on the several opinion from other medical facilities,she was also seen eavesdropping but he turned down all her ideas and help.Emeka later request Shola's files from from HR.

Emeka and his buddie Cyril talk,Shola came up and Cyril mentions she is playing games,he also admits missing Ayo,he had to stop the conversation when his uncle came visiting,he was disappointed in his cousin chasing ladies and that is should not be the priority of  his only relative,Cyril tried to leave but Okeimute stopped him from moving.

Ona busy trying to credit staff account when Nwosu came around,he needed her help to wrap a gift for his god daughter,Ona felt the gift was not appropriate for the child's age and laughed at him for being one of those father's that will be clueless and leave their wives to buy gifts for their children,he was upset about it.

Yakubu begins the Expos on BBP,Teni is worried and is home,she wants her mother to help her with Uncle 'Lami ,it was still the same brickwall ..Adaora is shocked.

AMBattleground S1:E163(Recap)

Adaora joins Sophie,Kolade &Ona in the study after she heard her name,she asked why they were yelling her name but they changed the story from Sophie telling her cousin she was only telling Kolade how they jumped the fence to go out as teenagers  bla bla,Adora wondered what Ona is doing around and asked her to leave,she didn't hesitate to do that.The scenario left a doubt in Adaora's mind ,she later called Nwosu to ask if he aware Sophie and her husband in a relationship,he informs her besides being in charge of the security for the Bhadmus family,he is not aware of any other thing.

Shola scarcs Dr Emeka when she showed up unannounced with breakfast,he tells her to knock the next time and he can prepare his meals by himself though he appreciates her,Shola ask about his hepatitis status and he tells her he will be getting other opinion ,she tries to dissuade him but she seemed to have failed at it.

Danlami meets with his former business partner Chief Bhadmus ,Kolade tried to bully him as usual but Mr Bako is not moved and cuts his bluff.Teni also tried to reach her father but she was told he left the building,she moves to speak with Uncle Lami but he is not interested though he was polite to her.Mr Bako gives his wife feedback of what transpired and how Kolade wants his help ,Hadiza tries to make her husband see reasons why he should be calm as the crash might affect his shares and the sale but Megida's mind is made up,he will be engaged in plans counter to that of Kolade and declares he now hates Kolade.

Okeimuite pays Shola  visit for updates on breaking Teni&Emeka,she tells him it hasn't been easy but she was able to seize the opportunity of the infected patient and switch Dr Emeka's result .Earlier the male Doctor saw Shola with Okeimuite at the reception and she had to take him inside but she was busted by Nurse Oyiza who knows who Okeimuite is.

Adaora tells Ona she could handle Cissy sharing her husband because she was an outsider but that will not be the same if the woman was close to her,this made Ona lose focus and broke one of her madam's China but she forgave her with less rants.

Chichi drops the groceries and thought of taking some for herself  privately but she would not do that,Ona comes in and talk to her about paying her salary,Chichi waste no time in releasing the information that she is aware Ona is pregnant,Madam V walks in and Ona disappointed in her that she let out her secret .


Teni challenge her dad for meddling in her affairs,Ona came around and Chief complained about his daughter's behaviour to her.Ona finally agrees to live the Bhadmus house,Chief tell her she will be well compensated.

AMBattleground S1:E162(Recap)

Okeimuite esq is with his boss Chief Bhadmus ,he has with him settlement document for Onajite who later came to join them in the study,she queried the money that was sent to her account and she maintained her stand ,she tells Chief she will not be like Cissy.

Cyril came to see Shola ,he later got a call from Boniface that the guy who stole her phone has been apprehended,Shola became uncomfortable and resumed her inconsistent statement,she also decides she will follow Cyril.Boniface was in action dealing with the 'thief' when Shola arrived she quickly made a signal to the guy so he will not mention who sent him,she also denied knowing him as well and later asked Cyril how he knew somebody like Boniface,he told he is a friend of the family.

Teni informs her  father she will go ahead with the interview with Yakubu even if he refuse to give his blessing,Chief agrees with his daughter but place a caveat that if she messes up she will be at the mercy of the Board.Chief Bhadmus later calls Yakubu Gomwak to warn him but the threat got him fired up,he is more eager to talk about BBP.

Danlami finally gets a loan from Hadiza's cousin but his joy was cut short when Kolade called and demanded to see him.

Shola speaks with the 'phone buyer' she pleads with him and will compensate him.

Teni and her mother had a daughter/mother conversation, Adaora told  Teni she will always be her babygirl Ona came in to drop some garments,she loved what she saw and smiled but they didn't see her.

Teni calls Micheal but she did not get through,she drops a message on his voicemail and told him he was right about her father who wanted to use her as a puppet.Okeimuite Esq later shows up beside Teni,he advises her against granting Yakubu the interview on The Insider,he plays her former video and let her know she doesn't need such in circulation and that having an ally will be beneficial to her.

Tenka speak and it was such a romantic moment,they talk about having each other's back and the undying love they have for each other.They also talk about living together and having children,Emeka told his heartbeat he didn't mention it because of what happened before and should they not be able to have their own kids,they will adopt.

Sophie comes to make her demands but Chief is not moved ,he was very calm and Ona was agitated when Sophie went out of the Study to shout Adaora's name,Ona had to drag her back inside.

AMBattleground S1:E161(Recap)

Teniola confronts Emeka about his HIB status and that Shola informed her about it,everything now adds up ,she was not pleased he will keep something of such magnitude away from him ,she reacted better than Emeka expected and he even told Shola this when she confronted her about revealing the situation to Teni,he also let her know he is aware she has feelings for him and ask what games she is playing,typical of Shola she denied being up to anything and talks about how she loves Cyril and will not allow anything bad to happen to people she genuinely cares about.

Ona is now indecisive about having her baby and being Chief's latest 'wife' as she is concerned about Adaora,Chief reminded her that was the card he was flashing to her and he is running out of patience for her indecisiveness,Okeimuite arrives so she takes her leave.Kolade's Counsel ask his boss if he could take care of the situation but Chief assured him he is control of that situation.

Teni is furious with her father for meddling with her orders on  Hermit Pharmaceuticals,she tells him she needs guidance not spoonfeeding ,Kolade assures her he will not undermine her anymore and gets her calm,however after Teni left he told Ejiro to that the reports now come in weekly and no longer monthly.

Chichi complain about being broke and unable to afford her toiletries because they are yet to be paid salary,Madam V can't help her as she just sent money to her daughter Hosu in school,while they were at it Ona comes in and she was hopeful they will get paid and the alert she got on her phone might just be what they have been waiting for,but she was wrong and her countenance changed from being careful to angry.

Teni researching on HIB and it brought tears to her eyes,Adaora comes in and notice her daughter not okay,Teni will not tell her mother but Mrs Bhadmus was sure the matter is about a man,she cheers her up.

Okeimuite tells Nwosu he is not living up to his resume.

Yakubu of The Insider calls Teni to come on the program but she refused,he lets her know they are doing tan expose on her tenure and whether she comes or not ,it will happen.

AMBattleground S1:160(Recap)

Solar Energy (Nurse Shola) comes into Dr Emeka's office,she noticed he is perturbed and tries to give him some fengshui  but the young Dr Kalu doesn't need her advice but the Shot lie (another nickname for Nurse Shola) that will know never gives up  in her quest to destroy Tenka.

Teniola is worried about Emeka and is willing to help him but as usual he assures her all is okay.

Nurse Oyiza let Moshood know he mescaphored and misyarned(revealed what he shouldn't have) to Philemon and she will not always be available to bail him but that ws to be the beginning of Moshood's troubles when Philemon revealed who he was and what he has done,Moshood became scared and frightened,it was while he was in the state of confusion the Bakos came visiting,Hadiza probed until Moshood opened up to them and they help to put him out of his misery,Mrs Bako acted like was hearing everything for the first time,Danlami struck a deal with Philemon and Moshood promised them he is ready to do anything to show appreciation to them for the kind gesture.

Teni visit Emeka and they gist in his room,She couldn't stay for long so she had to leave ,on her way she met Sho lie who used that opportunity to inform her of what  that her lover has HIB and the effects ......Teni is in shock!!

Hadiza speaks to Philemon over the phone ,she tells him to disappear.Danlami comes in and informs his wife he has paid the money Philemon demanded.Hadiza uses that opportunity to let him know they have Moshood on their side and it looks good for their plan.

Adaora confront Sophie about her whereabouts,she didn't like it and blames it on being a long time guest but that was about to end ,she will also repay her cousin's loan,Sophie flashes the card of Adaora not being a saint with her movement citing seeing Danlami as an example,Adaora states she didn't lie about her destination,Sophie storms out of the room.

Chief is seen playing chess in his office,Ona was sitted in front of him,she was getting impatient after sitting without a word from him,Chief tell her she can have her stay and have her baby,he will deal with the consequence as they come.

AMBattleground S1:159(Recap)

Nwosu gives feedback to Adaora that Sophie was with a man and their destination was the hotel,Adaora told Nwosu to keep the details of the assignment confidential and when Nwosu asked if his man should continue trailing Sophie,Mrs Bhadmus told him there is no need as her cousin is an adult and is free to do whatever she wants.

Cyril meet with Emeka ,they discuss his visit to the bar which is not a regular one and Shola in his house,Cyril asked his friend if he got 'carried away' just like he did with Shola after the drinks and scrabbled they played,Emeka tells his friend he was very sane and didn't 'cut any show'.Cyril further revealed he feels Shola is up to something sinister/manipulative and that Teni also stopped by the house to offer Shola a loan to get accommodation,Emeka was surprised as his lover never told him she will be visiting.

Philemon added something in a drink,he later visited Moshood with the drink,this made Moshood sing like a canary and exposed his boss that he owes General 80 Billion Naira,Philemon got everything recorded and even when Nurse Oyiza sent him out  but he was still behind the door to record it all.Philemon reports to Hadiza he has gotten what they need.

Shola is worried Cyril will find her out,she orders the buyer to switch it off till further notice.

Sophie is back but will not still tell her cousin the truth about her rendezvous,she ask to be excuse to be on a phone conversation,the caller tells Sophie he enjoyed their intimate time together and wants another rendezvous but she is not willing to come on board again even when the man assured her his wife not a problem.

Ona was cleaning the bar area when Kolade tried to talk to her and grabbed her from behind in a suggestive manner which Chichi might have noticed when she came to the scene later.

Nwosu bought ice cream for Onajite ,she will not share it with him,he was about to give her the second treat which was a kiss  but left her lips hanging,he told her he was shy.....Onajite was angry.

Emeka goes to query Teni for offering to help Shola,he told her he loves her but told her there is something he can't explain but will do that at the right time.He gets back to his office and he got confirmation that Kingsley had delivered the test result.Dr Emeka opens it,his reaction doesn't look exciting.

AMBattleground S1:E158(Recap)

Teni and Emeka speak over the phone,the latter told his girlfriend he was out at Cyril's bar having drinks but he is neither tipsy nor drunk.Teni informs her boo she is busy so she will not be joining him.Earlier Shola had suggested to Dr Emeka that they play scrabble over some bottles of wine but as it seem Sho lie was O.Y.O on the matter.

Sophie suggested that Teni should give Nurse Shola a loan with a very flexible repayment plan ,Teni had informed her aunt about the situation with Emeka when she asked how about him,she also pleads with her aunt not to tell her mum.Teni later visit Shola who informed her Emeka was not home,she let her know she was aware and she came to see her,she waste no time in telling her the purpose of her visit but Shola refused the offer as he doesn't want to be indebted to Teni and that her cousin has got an apartment for her to stay.While the ladies were talking Cyril shows up.Teni leaves  and gives  Shola the warning look.Cyril also offer Sho lie accommodation but she refused,he also tells her he is on the tracking but Shola dissuades him to desist from the act as the people behind her attack dangerous.

Sophie goes to Kolade for money but he calls her bluff and is certain she will not inform Adaora about what is going on because of her greed....Sophie has been cut to size.

Philemon pays Moshood a visit in his ward and they talk about how rich men make people especially the less privileged take the fall for their atrocities,Moshood agreed but will not say much but Philemon will not give up ,he further informs Moshood they will be having drinks later......

Hadiza want her husband to be proactive in acquiring MLA shares but Danlami assures his wife he has the situation under control

Adaora overlooks Ona's queries,while she was at it Kolade joined her in the sitting rom and chastise Ona for acting childish and not executing her duties properly and she should do the needful,Adaora was lost but she is not aware her husband is passing another message to Ona withe the scenario,she told her husband all was well with her staff ,Kolade told his wife he was only supporting her  unlike what happened the other time.

Chief speaks with Ona about the situation but Ona maintains her stand,she will not go on exile  and reminds Chief he doesn't own the world.She is having the baby(If he doesn't like let him go and hug transformer hahahhaahhaha😆)

Philemon had the conversation he had with Moshood on record.

Sophie informs her cousin she will be going for a reunion ,they reminisce about the dance steps that used to reign back in the days.Adaora offers her cousin a ride to the venue but Sophie refuse and will rather go with a taxi,when she left Sophie tells Nwosu to follow her cousin discreetly.

AMBattleground S1:E157(Recap)

Emeka refuse to kiss Teniola .They had to end the conversation and stop her from spending the night when Teni's security detail told her that she had to leave because of security reasons .

Ona complains to Nwosu that nothing she does is good enough for her royal highness ,Nwosu encourages her as usual till Sophie came to disrupt,she asked that they be left alone .Sophie hails Ona for also having Nwosu at the finger tips,she tells her she has put in a word for a with Adaora so she will not be getting queried again,she then moves to her usual demand for money but she was getting nothing as Ona referred her to Chief Bhadmus.

A certain Philemon gained access to Moshood's ward.he was later taken away,he was said to have nervous breakdown hence his irrational action,he later came back to apologise to Moshood  in company of Nurse Oyiza and tags him(Moshood) a rich man.The encounter left Moshood scared.

Teni is back home ,her father questions her visit to Emeka but she will not be treated like a baby and notes her father will not be asking Ola or Mayowa same questions,she also made it clear that Emeka is still her choice contrary to what her father thinks.She drops the news that Micheal is bipolar and this sounded very strange to Chief.Adaora also found it strange as they never suspected a fine young like Micheal like that,Kolade also wondered why he never got wind of such information.

Ona arrives her Madam's room for duties,she didn't like that Adaora and Chief were cosy,Adaora who doesn't know what is going on reminds Ona about her query and ask her to leave.The encounter left Ona in tears ,Chichi and Vhyutu pay her a visit to comfort her ,Chichi was made to leave stylishly so that Vhyutu could discuss the pregnancy with her,she also had gifts for the baby alongside her soothing words.Nwosu shows up and they had to stop the conversation,he told Ona Chief wants to see her .

Cyril at Emeka's place ,he keeps asking Solar Energy/Sho Lie(Nurse Shola's nicknames from fans) and her reactions/answers leaves him mores suspicious.By the time she slept off Cyril calls his contacts to track all that needs to be known about her.

Chief wants Ona to 'take care ' of the pregnancy but she will do no such thing and is disappointed Kolade thinking of such about their baby.

Philemon Agidingbi makes a call in his ward to somebody that he has had contact with Moshood.

AMBattleground S1:E156(Recap)

The Policemen that came to harass Ola dis not leave him until they were able to snatch the briefcase he was carrying from him ,by the time they opened it they found nothing to implicate him,while all these was ongoing, the dealer saw it all and bailed.

Ona regained her consciousness and Kolade continues with his threat ,he tells her she cannot have the baby under his roof,Ona reminds him about Cissy and the other woman,she can also have the baby and Adaora doesn't/will not know.Chief Bhadmus also mentioned  to Ona that Sophie  blackmailing him for money on the issue,Ona told her lover she is experiencing same with their long time house guest.

Nurse Shola continues to pull her annoying stunts ,Teniola is wary about her moves but Emeka keeps forming Batman on the matter and feels his girlfriend is insensitive and is quick to make a comparison.Teni as we later found out called Cyril who is suppose to be Shola's boo who came around  but Dr Emeka still worried about Shola ,Teni even suggest her house for accommodation to Shola decided to leave the apartment but Emeka pleaded with her to spend the night.Miss Bhadmus states her concerns,doubts about Shola again,she acknowledges her boyfriend being a good man but he should stop trying to be a saviour,she ask if his recent actions is because of her turning down his proposal , her family ,etc.Teni then ask for a kiss from her lover,he couldn't.

Cyril observed that Shola's story not consistent,she also turned down Cyril's offer to help her track her phone.

Vhyutu and Chichi visit Adaora ,they praise & thank her for all she has done to /for them.Madam Adaora initially did not want to grant them audience but Sophie persuaded her to.

Onajite is not pleased her colleagues went to see their Madam,while they were arguing Adaora entered the kitchen and we see her furious with Ona,she told her 'beloved staff' to write herself a query and come to answer it.

Ola reports to the General about the harassment by the Police and how he escaped just because he switched briefcase.A phonecall was put through to the COP who made it clear to the General what he has on him in relation to Otunba Jabir doesn't hold water,he later gave a feedback that the people responsible are new enemies of the General.We later found out Ola planned the set up all along!!!!(Omo Bhadmus of laive)

AMBattleground S1:E155(Recap)

Chichi waste no time to inform her colleagues about the pending retrenchment ,they all wish they had towed the part of Eugene who resigned,it was while they were ranting that Ona came around ,she tried to calm them and assured them they will not be nothing like that.

Nwosu continues to leave in denial as he believes Ona loves him,he also ask about her  being comfortable around the Chief Bhadmus,Ona tells him she is just like family and he should not try to compare himself with her.Ona's phone rings,it's her mum,she ask Nwosu to excuse her.We found out this is not the first time she got pregnant for Chief,she also ask for her mum's help in tears.

Adaora goes to see Teni at BBP to cheer and advise her on work & relationship,she also posed for a selfie with her daughter.

Emeka had to change rendezvous of his date with Teni,he ask Cyril to help him and he suggest his house is the best place & this will create time for the lovebirds to have heart to heart conversation,the rendezvous started well as the atmosphere was decorated and highlighted love is in the air,Emeka even dropped a line with his sonorous voice (was hoping for more hehehe) until they heard someone opening the door .it was Nurse Shola ,her face looking battered .

Tanko is furious with Kolade after the invite he got from the Police ,Chief Bhadmus assures him he is behind it and he got his back,after Tanko left Okeimuite was worried but Chief told his Counsel he did that to get Tanko occupied while he faces other plans.

Danlami ready to sell his shares but he was informed the buyer not ready to buy anymore.

Ona goes to see Chief to discuss but he was not ready and rather threatens her to do his will,it was while they were at it that Ona enters her fainting mode again.

Ona comes into the study to serve tea to Okeimuite Esq who was in a meeting with Chief Bhadmus,Okeimuite wants to DIY but Kolade insist Ona should do her job by pouring him the tea,Chief seizes that opportunity to tells Ona to fix the mess and by this he was referring to her pregnancy,Ona later tries to call her mum but her line was unreachable,she tells her she misses her and has not forgotten she cannot come home.
