Ijewode interrogates her son about his relationship with Emiene but he evades and declines having any connection with her despite what his mother saw,he tells her she is imagining things Ijewode mention she is the widow of a certain palmwine tapper. The conversation continues at home as Ijewode tries to tell her husband but Ejeh came quickly to stop the conversation,his father will not allow the matter die and continued with his son,Ejeh tell his father he is too busy for a bride,Onnah made his son realise if he as an Obochi can et married he can't hide behind being a palace guard

Alechenu is on his training mission,he ask Ekere for someone smaller to learn,they send him Akum who defeated him in training.the other three are not comfortable with Odum's sudden love for Akajo of Ufam(Alechenu) especially Ameh who is protecting his daughter. Odum tell the others they will be taking turns to train Akajo of Ufam.

Elekache enjoying Ufam and Ene's company a good one,Ene feels Edache coming into Elekache's life not a bad idea but might be a new start for her,Elekache feels they might know about her ordeal as they were in Ufam when it happened.

Akum wonders how Akajo(Alechenu) was able to penetrate a tough Odum and got him on his side,Akajo tells her he appealed to his soft side unlike her who does not have a heart,they two young people getting long well, that Akum is smiling .Ameh Akum's father was by the corner eavesdropping unknown to them.

Prince Epeh was able to get the king on his side that he even volunteered to train him how to use a bow and arrow,Epeh tells his father about the new development.

Ejeh trailed Adoga to his gin,he shows himself as well to him.

Queen Oganya wants to sit over the council but the king declines and let her know it is necessary he presides the next council meeting.
