The sickness is fast spreading in Ocholuje,an isolation center had to be established  as well as announcement made by the king via the town crier  and that anybody who feels the symptoms should go the confinement dedicated for healing .

Onnah and Ijewode still feels the strange object responsible for the disease in Ocholuje. Obeyi feels her mistress should join forces with Oofuni who seems to know well about the strange sickness but Ijewode will not.

King Odaleko seems to have lot of stubborn daughters,the latest being Owagoyin who insisted she must leave the palace despite strict orders nobody leaves.Her father was able to talk sense into her brain ,he reminded her about the time of the year as it was around the killing of Queen Abehi and Abor massacre.

The Leftovers discuss their decisions and how their safety is paramount.

Oofuni remembers her roots as she touches the bracelet from the spoils from the Abor massacre,her maid and complimented it,this spurs something deep  in Oofuni ,she relates the work of their  hands  a healer & a nurse as her maid was present while she spoke at he hut  and the alternatives it offers.

Enayi cannot hide her disdain for Alechenu,she feels his advent responsible for all the bad things in the kingdom.

Princess Agbenu's husband is also ill..We also see one of the  maid in the isolation center join the list.
