Movie Review :Deep Inside
A father ,Chief Eze (Zack Orji) wants his only daughter Sheila (Omoni Oboli) to get married and
during one of their arguments he collapsed and the doctors diagnosis reveal it's a partial stroke and they advise she does something to make him happy as this will go a long way to make him better.
Sheila decides to arrange a marriage with her long time friend Wale(Uti Nwachukwu) who had a girlfriend Nneka(Vanessa Osilonya) who wasn't comfortable with the idea but later agreed,Nneka's family also didn't like the idea but she didn't listen to them.
The wedding took place and the script was played out well till hiccups ,began that finally lead to revelations, break up and then reconciliation.
The acting from the actors was okay as it was a mixture of known and unpopular faces The Veteran Zack Orji showed he sure knows his onions very well.Ik(Imeh Bishop Umoh) also gave the movie some comic relief. I did not connect with some of the new actors .The story line is simple and was predictable as i knew and anyone watching will know it was going to be a fairy tale ending ,Sheila and Wale ended up together and Nneka moved on with Emeka (Okpeye Bisping)
The editing was not so good and i even noticed spelling errors at the end of the movie when the cast list was being shown 'cheif Eze' was shown instead of 'Chief Eze' .Some of the scenes were unnecessary or could have been brief. For the hospital scene it could have been better first going with the status of the patient and the equipment used for his treatment.
The movie was directed and produced by Lancelot Imaseun .
The movie is a fair one.( I expected more maybe because of the calibre of the producer)
