Movie Review:Ghana Must Go
Ama(Yvonne Okoro) is married to her Nigerian lover Chuks(Blossom Chukwujekwu) though they intended keeping it a secret from Ama's family but it slipped out and this cause brouhaha in Ama's family because Ama's father cannot forget the main reason how the name 'Ghana must go' was coined especially as he was personally affected. For the sake of love and peace the two families were able to clear the air on the Ghana Must Go concept and allowed love and peace to reign.
Some of the comic scenes were exaggerated eg when Ama's brother(Ik Ogbonna) was trying to tell his brother in -law about his father's military history. The movie also copied the American movie Meet the Fockers' with it's sexually active plot which was between Chuk's father(Nkem Owoh) younger wife(Helen Paul) though modified a bit but once you see that part of the movie it's just glaring it was 'fapped'
The game changer:From the moment Chuk's family arrived his father, mother(Ada Ameh) and his father's younger wife arrived you will laugh your ass off(I did),there was not one dull moment.
The movie is directed by Frank Rajah Arase and produced by Yvonne Okoro .
My overall rating good because it was able to create comedy out of a weighty issue , a bit of history, culture was brought to limelight.
