The movie begins with a wedding scene the bride and groom dancing but the merriment had to be cut short when the mother of the bride Rhoda (Joke Silva) acts funny after she had too much to drink.Her daughter April (Belinda Effah) and her husband Nkem (Alex Ekubo) had to take away from the scene and they all returned back to the lodge and with strict orders that alcohol not be served to her but she was still able to get alcohol via the receptionist.
April's sister Esther (Yvonne Nelson) has eyes for her husband and on several occasion tried to lure him.Their mother noticing this ugly trend and harmless folly that will blossom into guilty pleasures and the consequences fatal decides to checkmate the situation which introduces a flash back about what happened 30 years ago .
The young Rhoda role played by Uche Jumbo and her husband Kesley(Joseph Benjamin) who lived had a blissful marriage till Rhoda's younger sister Mona (Elizabeth Daniels) came into their house and had an affair with her husband that resulted to the birth of a child.Mona refused to tell her sister the truth about the paternity of the child but Rhoda later found out the child belonged to her husband and a revelation that led to the death of both Mona and Kesley.
Older Rhoda told her children she had to tell them the story to avert impending danger and unveiling of the mothers of the April and Esther.April is Rhoda's biological child as she found out she was pregnant
I liked the flashback scenes ,the car,television set is a very good one ,costumes used was okay but some of Kesley's costumes did not portray what was obtained 30 years ago Young Rhoda's costume,hairstyle was the best!Though the picture quality used to depict the past okay a little to really show how the environment looked like 30 years ago would not have been a bad idea.The flashback within flashback scenes is also commendable.
The scene where the house was on fire was not done pleasantly. The sound effect from the fight between young Rhoda and Mona was not so good also I also didn't understand what happened to the guy that was in Rhoda's room before her supposed mum and sister came into her room.
That old Camera brought back memories (The camera that will take you just like you are no photo shopping/digital to help the ugly hahahahahahahaha)
At the end of the movie there was a very good twist as Esther gave Rhoda water to drink when she coughed and had the water poisoned ,she even gave Rhoda a suicide note to put in her pocket for people to read when they find her dead body then rewind the receptionist changed the water so Rhoda was ALIVE!
All actors tried but i felt Mona could have done better with her role.
